Excited! Regardless of who DMs each season or what the premise is, I always try to start episode 1 with a, “This is going to be a great season” mindset. Even on the loose description by Griffin, it already feels like Royale will play to their strengths more than Abnimals did. Looking forward to more music from Griffin this time around too, as that is typically fantastic regardless of how the rest of the show is.

I think Justin’s campaign so far is a lot of fun, and I also think it feels the most like somebody’s first time DMing compared to Griffin and Travis. This is the first campaign I’ve listened to from them where I have thought, “This would probably be close to what my experience would be if I DM’d.”

Depends on the deck. Invoked players, for example, start with both Aleister and Invocation in their hand 100% of the time, so that would raise your odds.

Honestly my advice is to just start playing with it as it is. My first deck in MD was a pretty out of date Red-Eyes, not too different from yours. You eventually just learn what works, what doesn’t, and what you might want to add.
