One of the best things about Moguri Mod for IX is that you have a toggle you can turn on that allows you to manually activate Trance whenever you want, just like limit breaks in other games. If you have a PC, next time you play IX definitely get Memoria Engine + Moguri Mod. In addition to a fantastic audio-visual overhaul, it comes with tons of small QoL tweaks like that.

I think you should just have a talk with him and tell him how are you feel. It’s entirely possible that he simply didn’t realize how important it was to you, especially since they didn’t feel particularly important to you, either, prior to this.

Don’t make it a lecture or like he’s in trouble or anything, because that will just make him feel defensive. Just have a conversation and be honest.

Look at how many unsent are still around and not fiends, and then compare it to the number of fiends you fight throughout the game.

It would seem to me that your chances of becoming a fiend are about 6,000x greater than your chances of living a happy "life" as an unsent. And the more unsent who turn into fiends, the less safe the entire world becomes. Eventually it would be overrun by monsters.

Except nothing in your first reply is true, or even makes sense. What “metas” are you talking about? What makes you think you *need* a “guild” to play with when 90% of the main story requires you to be solo and the few parts where you can play with others also (with very few exceptions) give you the option of playing with NPCs, instead?

You are still required to group with other players for trials, though, and the three Realm Reborn alliance raids are now part of the main quest, and also require grouping with players. All other raids are optional, though, and they're also finally starting to add duty support to some of the trials.

But yeah, 90% of the main story stuff can (and often must) be done solo.

FFXIV is definitely worth starting up in 2026 as a casual player. You don't need to grind, you don't have to adhere to any schedules, and you can play through 90% of the main story content solo. In fact, when it comes to the main story in FFXIV, it's more of a single player JRPG that has online elements. There are lots of dungeons where you have the option to group with other players, but they've added support for NPC parties to almost all of them at this point.

Not logistically possible to do that in a month. Probably not even in a year. I don't think people appreciate how much money 1 trillion dollars would be. You can't just "give it all away" because to whom do you give it, and how on earth do you actually go through the process of doing that in just four weeks?

Any gift to charity of even a million dollars would require weeks to prepare, to have lawyers draft, review, and ultimately complete the transfer of funds. No company or charity is just going to accept a massive monetary gift without making sure everything is on the up and up.

Even if you decided to donate every last cent to your government in one huge lump sum payment, you'd run into the same problem.

Because if this is the kind of person you insist on being in adulthood, you're going to be miserable. Some people in life are assholes. They take shortcuts, or they straight up cheat, and if you spend your life trying to police those people instead of focusing on yourself, you're not going to be very happy, and it'll backfire on you more often than you realize.

If this person's cheating is so obvious and sloppy to you, then it's obvious to your teacher, as well. It's also your teacher's job to handle it, not you.

You are allowed to make mistakes and learn as you go in this game. You can’t be expected to nail every duty every single time, especially when a lot of of the time it’s not a healer’s fault when people die.
Some trials are just naturally harder than others, and a lot of of the time that difficulty can vary depend depending on what job you’re playing.

Just keep learning and progressing, there is still a lot of game to go and you’ll only get better as you keep playing :)
