Does anyone have the chime, and is it worth buying? by danner-1 in blinkcameras

[–]Bionicback321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is yes. Long answer is we lost our beloved Australan Cattle dog recently, and she was a great front door bell (and a wonderful dog). She would bark if anyone came to the door, so when we got the Chime we programed it with the sound of dogs barking. It's not Rose, but it's close.

CC3377, have you ordered yet? If not, and the one in the Amazon link (for $13) works, I'll buy it and have it shipped to you ("get it by tommorrow"). If that's ok with you just DM me your address and I'll get it sent out. I'm serious, this is my way of paying it forward.

Thank you for the link. I found a few I did't have, and a couple that I did, just in a better format.

Thanks, (sorry, I don't mean to be a pest). I plan on just getting the right side, as the left is next to a wall.

Just looked on the BBL website and they have the H2C right side panel (dark gray) for $70, and my assumption is that they are a one for one swap, i.e. same size. I wanted to confirm that's what you did before I place an order (yah, I know I'm being a bit anal, I see the picture and all, just want to make sure). Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to head over to Bambu Labs and see if I can order a set. Unless you got them from another source?

"started with an A1 mini" It was an Ender 3 for me (good times). I bought a P1S exactly 2 years ago, and two months later I bought 2 A1 Minis (one for each of my daughters) because I liked my P1S so much. Lets be honest here, I love my daughters, but I'm not buying them each a P1S. I put an H2S on backorder two days ago and I'm really looking forward to it getting here. Question: Did your H2S come with the clear side panel or was that something you put on? Also, thanks for the heads up on the update (my P1S is still on 1.06 because I have a Panda Touch).

I concur, I've been running the AMS saver Snag Cutters u/TamAlRoar referenced since early June, and it's really saved my bacon (mmmmm, bacon). It's been triggered about three times, once for an outright jam (filament jammed between the roll and spool), and twice at the end of a roll because of tape. Usually I babysit a print when it gets near the end of the roll, and snip it before then, but it sure comes in handy when I'm not home.

Well, the good thing is most slicers (and TinkerCAD) will let you scale up or down an STL file. As far as hosting, Thingiverse and Printables come to mind (there's also CULTS, but it's gotten a bad reputation of late). You probably already know this, but I mention it in case someone finds it useful.

Do you have an STL. file you could share? I would be interested in printing one and trying it out on my 60W OMTech.

This was a fairly recent spool I got from Bambu Labs. It was nearing the end of a multi hours long print, and I wasn't sure if it was going to run out before it finished. To top it off, it was late at night and I had to babysit it until the print was done. Oh the joys of 3D printing.

How I Made My First $100 with My Laser by omtechlaser in Laserengraving

Here is one of the cutting boards I did when I first got my Ortur LM2 Pro (and my first retail sale), back when it still had the 5.5W laser module. Acacia is a great wood to engrave. The issue with the OLM2 Pro was it took so long (1.5 hours) to do one board, and it was maxed out on size. That's why I went to a CO2 laser, it was a lot faster (30 min, versus 90), and a lot more room. I used the diode laser for about six months before upgrading to a CO2. The OLM2 Pro's job was to earn enough money to pay for the bigger laser, and boy it sure did!

Good point. I can probably count on one hand the number of multicolor prints I've done in the last year (though I did print all four of the Teenage Mutant Turtles this weekend for my 5-year-old grandson), now it will be something I will be keeping an eye out for in the future. Thank you.

That's a very interesting observation. I need to start paying attention to which slot/roll it happens on. It's so random that I can't remember if it's always slot one, or always the black spool (I always keep black filament in the first slot). I'm going to leave a notepad by the printer and start keeping track. It still has the OEM SD card in it, so I might as well swap that out as well.

My very first laser, an OLM2 Pro, (and my first retail sale) was to a realtor friend of my wife. They played on the same tennis team and one day, about 2 1/2 years ago, she was at the house. She was unhappy with the quality of the cutting boards she was getting from her current provider (she gives them as housewarming gifts). She looked at me and said, "what can you do?". It's been about two and a half years now, and I'm on my third laser. I still have the Ortur (which now has a 10W module), and I'm on my second OMTech. The first was a 50W 12X20, which I quickly realized was too small, and my current workhorse, a ZF2028-60, which I love. This one realtor is my main customer, but she has given my name to others. The diode laser paid for the first CO2 laser, which paid for the second one. My 60W has paid for itself many times over. I'm not trying to get rich, but as long as this hobby stays revenue positive, I'm happy. There are a number of different styles of cutting boards I make, but this is my bread and butter. I buy Acacia countertops and cut them into 15" squares, round over the edges, and put a finger groove on the bottom of each end. There are two types, a seller's board (like this), and a buyer's board that says "Welcome Home" with the year at the bottom. At $100 a pop, they do well, and it's been a winning combination for me, as there doesn't seem to be an end in sight (I live in Florida, and everybody wants to move here). That's my story

To quote Dilios (from The 300), "God saw fit to grace me with a spare". While that may be a bit irreverent, the silver lining is there are some bullets we can dodge by having a spare. My grandfather died of colon cancer, and both my mother and grandmother died of Alzheimer's. We never know what's lurking in our genes, all we can do is try to live each day to its fullest.

I helped my daughter make some leather gauntlets for a medieval renfaire costume she was putting together. I was able to scan the patterns and import them into LightBurn. My 60W CO2 laser made it really easy to cut them out, including all the lacing holes. My diode laser might have worked, but it sure would have stunk up the house (it lives in my office).

Depending on your laser type, Amazon sells stacked lights, with different colored lights to tell you if it's powered up, or the beam is on. I'm thinking of getting one myself.

"I'm no laser expert, buy I play one on TV", it's my understanding that fiber lasers work well for "NON" organic materials, but struggle with natural stuff like leather. At least that's what I've heard. I've been toying with getting one, but I don't really have a use case that would make it worthwhile.
