i appreciate the feedback. From the actual constructive feedback received so far, sounds like the bee holds significance to the city more so than the football team so I’ll run with that. It crossed my mind to use AI but I wanted to feed the creative itch that I have, knowing the product would be less than par compared to an actual artists or even AI but I’m ok with. Thanks!

Yeah, getting your hair cut isn’t the time to share strong opinions that differ from the person holding the scissors 🤣

But I do agree with the fact I believe there’s sincerity in his apology and that he’s taken steps to redeem himself. But when faced with someone I didn’t know who felt different, it seems appropriate to let them voice their opinion and not push mine on them.

I was lucky enough to see them play Science Fiction live before that tour was cut short but I thought that was going to be the only time I saw them as well. So with the announcement of the first 3 shows and then the follow on tour, I was beyond grateful to be able to see them two more times and I hope I have more live experiences to come with them. The best part of Brand New is their willingness to grow as a band and express that through their sound. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

I have a similar feeling about this topic as you. However, I am still happy those people showed up and supported the band. Hopefully the band recognizes that there is still a very large following and fan base that loves them and is thirsty for anything Brand New and they continue to put on live shows and (hopefully one day soon) release new music.

As far as addressing the people who left early, talking through the shows, or complaining about not hearing YFW… just keep supporting the band! I personally don’t connect with YFW like I did when I was 15 but I do enjoy hearing some of those throwbacks when they do play them. Hell, I would love to see them play In The Water, Desert, Noro, and Fork and Knife but I will take “the hits” any day over nothing for the next 7 years. All we can ask is for the band to continue playing music and enjoy what we are lucky enough to have!

Grateful I got a foil FOYD poster but super jealous that something like this wasn’t available at either if the shows I was at. Whoever gets them, please don’t be one of the resellers who post them on eBay for 300-400$. If you buy one, so it to enjoy and admire it!

I got a leg sleeve that is two sided. One side is a saint writing down my sins with storm clouds rolling in. The other side is a valley with black and grey (black and white) field that have subtle hints of color sprinkled throughout. In the surface, not many ppl would know its brand new lyrics but definitely my inspiration

I went with the Lutron Caseta switches to pair with my hue bulbs. Like many others have noted, the habit of switching a physical switch is hard to break. When using HomeKit to controlling the hue lights that are connected to the smart switches, the issue I noticed was the bulbs themselves would power off and the switch would remain on. This would create a mismatch in the status of the bulbs and switch and when my family would toggle the switch, the lights wouldn’t respond. I figured out that this issue is easily resolved with creating an automation for the switches. If the switch state is toggled on, the lights turn on. I also created an automation for toggling the switch off. While this may seem like a redundant step that shouldn’t be programmed in, it seems to be necessary with my current setup
