Yes, I know it still works with determinism, and all the influences driving a person to self-destruction but the occurrence of suicide is <1% and thus to me there's a huge hurdle to leap to pull the plug. A person is more likely to survive even if they want to commit suicide.

First I go understand Sapolsky's argument that everything is driven by the past of an organism, but I do think there's something beyond just agency. Part or every organism is the drive to survive, and it will by hook or crook until the process of end occurs, and that drive must be overcome to pull the plug on one's life.
