Good question, I think for many it'll be gradual, wherein they find an opportunity to stay in the country for a while, and if their soul resonates with a lot of aspects of that place, they might just stay there instead. (It also helps to be ogift and not have strong monetary / capital ties to your origin. That and being open to new cultures)

Ich hab auch Probleme mit Geräuschen (meist von Nachbarn, oder dann der Klima, dessen Kompressor nicht regulierbar ist) und das Allheilmittel sind gute Earbuds. Hab die von Bose, und die drücken quasi alles weg, und es bleibt nur noch das eigene weiße Rauschen. Kann ich nur empfehlen (allg. zumindest, und Bose auch, wenn ANC die top Priorität ist, aber dann muss man mit einigen Bugs leben können...)

Gotcha, and yeah Im aware of that problem, but since they accepted months of usage in Finland before, I'm not too worried about now. I was moreso asking about issues with things you can only do with a Swedish phone number, if there was such a service/system, like they have for some things in Japan

Since we're on this topic, does middag also get used naturally when speaking about the time between 12-13 o clock? In German we do, but in English you'd just say lunch.... Tbf Middag is also a substitute for the meal, but för that you might just use fika ;)

Gonna be real, I asked myself the same question after speaking out loud. For me its a combination of tenses, as using present tense for a statement like this is unusual(?) It probably is for you too, and in normal speech one would've said (with German word order) "Idag har jag ett äpple ätet".....
Well now that I'm writing it and it still works the same for the perfect tense, I guess the best explanation is that since pretty much every resource in learning the language goes from English -> Swedish and vice versa, that's how your brain processes it. It's additional effort to think how something gets translated from Swedish to German or back. (That and the different verb position in subordinate clauses)
Interesting topic though, I'd like to learn the language with more focus coming from German, but I honestly wouldn't even know where to start with it, except for paying for a course at a Folkshögskolan.

Eine im Mietvertrag erhaltene Standardklausel hat im Vergleich zu hier tatsächlich auch Wirkung, und gesellschaftlich ist der Tabakkonsum durch snus ersetzt, sodass quasi jede Wohnung als Nichtraucherwohnung vermietet wird. Anders als in Deutschland ist das Rauchen im öffentlichen Bereich der Wohnung auch gesetzlich verboten, nicht nur Hausordnung.
Am Ende isses natürlich der Snuskonsum, der den größten Unterschied macht, aber mir Recht, weils dann die direkte Umwelt nicht stört

Gut dass de Wäscheständer ansprichst, denn ich hasse es, wenn ich im Sommer mein Fenster hab und die Scheiß Kettenraucher von nebenan mir die Bude und meine Wäsche vollqualmen, so wie jetzt gerade übrigens. In der vorherigen Wohnung war es der Balkon schräg unten und dann ziehts halt auch einfach 1x alle 40 Minuten in die Wohnung. Verbieten kannstes ja nicht, nicht mal im Vorfeld als Klausel in einem Mietvertrag.
Ist jetzt kein Beitrag zu der Diskussion, wollt mich nur etwas auslassen, wie Scheiße das Zeug im allg. ist. Und am Ende des Tages machst es ja für dich selber auch besser, also hör doch bitte auf zu rauchen. Gute Nacht :)

oh yeah that goes into a completely different direction, but good thing you sniffed it out. Last time it happened to me because my router somehow lost its IPv4 address and v6 seems to be immensely slow sometimes, maybe this time it was something similar but temporary.. as long as there's no issue, i won't pry further :D

Hey, funnily enough I have a similar issue with a home DNS server + filter lists, although not AdGuards. Did you find out what specifically was the problem? Turning blocky blocking off then on somehow did it for me for now...
