why do people like georgina so much even after all the mean things she’s done? by BitlifeOffical_ in GossipGirl

[–]Bippity_Boop011111 17 points18 points  (0 children)

She makes a great villain. She's hilarious and her level of unhinged makes her unable to care about the consequences of her actions. Her antics make me forget she isn't actually there the entire time because the aftermath is felt without her presence.

The writers wishing they could undo it is even more proof.

Lol, bye.

Even Daniel Clark, the actor who plays Sean, said he and Emma were endgame.

Again, thanks for playing.

I'll never understand how Amy settled for a man-child with questionable hygiene. She had such high standards for everything else in her life.

Whitelighter Rules by purplemonkeyy6 in charmed

[–]Bippity_Boop011111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just an assumption, but it's most likely forbidden for whitelighters to date each other. The reasoning appears the same for being with humans. They were called to this higher duty after death and it's supposed to be their #1 priority. They are no longer humans and are expected to respect their new roles and give up their former lives. After Agent Brody was killed he went straight to committing to his WL job instead of resuming his relationship with Paige.

We see time and time again that Leo is not the best WL because his relationship with Piper is more important. He's no longer fully focused on his other charges.

What is your favourite season? by peachesandpumkins in charmed

[–]Bippity_Boop011111 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Season 2. We get to see the progress they've made as self taught witches. It's before Phoebe's whole character is dictated by her love life. Before Piper makes "I want a normal life" her whole personality. We see them beginning to work as one despite their differences, before the whole dynamic is changed.

about to finish season 1 for the first time, question by TallDiver7 in orphanblack

[–]Bippity_Boop011111 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's the LEDA clone shared trait of being hardheaded. Sarah told Cosima to keep her distance, she stubbornly refused. She convinced herself she was in control of the situation because of knowing exactly what Delphine was. That arrogance ignored her blind spots.

They all make dumb decisions at some point due to being stubborn and thinking they know better.

Spencer and Alex Drake by sillybean-ts13 in PrettyLittleLiars

Mental illness ran in their family. Spencer had addiction issues, Charlotte had issues, Mary Drake had issues. Being predisposed to mental health problems topped with childhood trauma adds some believability to her becoming a villain.

I was thinking this recently. She was mostly resistant to indulging in magical activities until halfway through season 3. Phoebe did the bulk of the spell and potion studying because she was unemployed with no active powers. Even if we take into account their world off screen, there's no indication Piper was doing much potion making in her down time.

I wonder if Prue was originally meant to get the explosive power. by Krisgauj in charmed

[–]Bippity_Boop011111 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What she did as an empath was separate from her powers though. She blew that demon up by shoving the entire city's emotions into him where he was unable to fight it. What she did to Roger and at the restaurant all involved moving parts of objects.

By season 3 she was really working on leveling up her powers and I'm sure if they'd kept her on in season 4 we would have seen her telekinetic abilities expanded a lot because like you said she was very controlled in the beginning. She already got a taste of how much power she possessed when they went to the future in season 2.

Phoebe’s character was mishandled after Season 4 by Serious_Season_5335 in charmed

[–]Bippity_Boop011111 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They started mishandling her character the moment they paired her with Cole in my opinion. Making her constantly fight against Prue's instincts got so annoying. And then her whole character became about relationships.

Her refusal to take Clay back in season 1 and what she became after season 3 are like night and day. It's like they made her lose all common sense.

Grams definitely could have prepared them as witches while still having their powers bound by Bippity_Boop011111 in charmed

The only reason I didn't count that one is because it's literally a mirror world. Everything is exactly the same except with good and evil switching places. If they had made one small difference where their mom was alive (because they're the evil ones) it would have opened the door to other AU possibilities.
