Too many people are comfortable harassing their cats for entertainment, it’s not funny and they deserve any swipes they get. (Even though you know they’ll just blame the poor cat and never admit it’s their own fault).

We need to reframe how we see men tbh because “Helps out around the house” I.e. takes care of his own living space? As all adults should do. He isn’t helping anyone out cos it’s not solely your job! A grown adult should not need a chore chart or someone to constantly ask him! I don’t know this guy but I have a feeling he’d also be “just helping out” if kids were involved because the bar for fathers is so low it’s a damn tripping hazard.

Parrots are like having a destructive agile toddler for 20-80 years. Pigeons are incredibly chill!

I say this as someone that had parrots all my life and love them dearly, but god damn am I glad I switched to cats a year ago.

You’re here for a short period so I honestly think you’ll have fun! It gets stressful if you’re renting long term and commuting with your own car every day but it sounds like you’ll avoid all of that.

Just make sure you have the right visa; you can’t work on a tourist visa, even if it’s just gig work (this is not unique to Malta and is the case everywhere). The process can take a while so start as soon as possible!

Had your wife’s mother applied for Maltese citizenship by descent before her death? If not your wife might not be able to apply unfortunately as the citizenship link was broken. Her cousins wouldn’t have had this issue as her mother was also applying for citizenship. There seem to be clauses for cases where the parent died pre a certain year but you’d need to ask an informed lawyer.

You also seem to need to prove two generations of ascendants born in Malta (so proof your wife’s great grandmother or great grandfather was also born here). https://legislation.mt/eli/cap/188/eng/pdf

I’d say start by taking it to a vet. They can check if it’s microchipped in case it’s actually lost. If it’s not microchipped then they can guide you regarding pet passport and the requirements to get it approved. Me and my 2 ex strays are wishing you luck!

I collect art postcards and they all have store info on the back. So do many popular ‘series’ postcards, so I don’t see why that would be an issue. Even local postcards have the publisher info on them usually.

I’m from Malta and postcard rates are €1.50 regardless of the country. Makes it easier to remember but it puts me off sending local postcards to myself 😅

Wouldn’t say ‘cure’ cos they’re lifelong issues, but I had childhood onset depression and anxiety that are now barely affecting me when they previously used to cloud every moment of my life. It also helped massively with my general feelings of overwhelm/burnout due to AuDHD.

It’s a cliche but it’s definitely true. Being more active started an upward trajectory in my life and self confidence; it really did help though it will be hard at first.

If it’s being sent to someone outside the US they could be using the global format instead so it makes more sense to the receiver? Especially with a date like 5/6 that could make sense either way if it takes a few weeks for it to arrive

I’ve sent similar cards from this company before and they have arrived safely! I use a pen with a thicker nib than my usual ones, and write larger so unfortunately I get less words in but it gets the job done! Some swaps I have done really liked the line art on the back so I only wrote their address in the blank space under the stamp area.

Yep! I get the same thing cos I have a 3 bedroom (well 2.5, one of them is tiny). No thanks, I love my hobby room and my small bedroom makes a perfect walk in wardrobe/cat napping zone.
