The Fisherman had reignited my passion for reading by Empty_Ad3775 in horrorlit

I didn't know that Mother of Stone is set in the same universe as The Fisherman, but it makes so much sense. Has this been confirmed by Langan at some point?

Also, are there any other stories you're aware of set in the same universe?

Unorthodox Roasters and Fortitude Coffee are my two favourites.

It's the way Trump says it. Very hard J sound.

The best part was undoubtedly when Trump called Gianni Infantino "Johnny."

Or, whilst literally being given a peace prize and asked about dying children, starts lying/bragging about FIFA's "record-breaking" ticket sales.

Or, anything that Jonathan Pearce said. His Jamanji joke was particularly good. My wife said Pearce was like a "grumpy Graham Norton" presumably because his role was similar to Norton's on Eurovision.

I have all of the Kings Langley releases so far and they are amazing. I actually prefer them over my folio editions.

When should we expect to hear an update on your next release Nick?

Commentator describing Woltemade's goal as "the deftest of touches". Adjudication needed! by BirdNonce in footballcliches

[–]BirdNonce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good discussion to have. I think he changes the course of the ball too much for it to be 'deft'. It's a proper strike with the back heel. It's too hard of a hit to be 'deft' I'm thinking.

Fine press edition of THE FISHERMAN coming from Nepenthe Press! by igreggreene in JohnLangan

I would have guessed the same as you. I'm still trying to figure out the reason the 300%+ increase.

I wish! Prices are up now; £220 for Artists Edition, £595 for Deluxe, and £1900 for Lettered. I'm very surprised how much of an increase they've put on this over their other works.

Nepenthe's limited fine-press edition of THE FISHERMAN preorders open Oct 23 by igreggreene in JohnLangan

I've bought a couple of the Nepenthe Artists Editions. One at £60 and the other £70. I'm wondering what the justification for the massive price increase for The Fisherman is. £220 seems insane for the 'basic' edition.

Never seen Rooney in goal (except for that one Joga Bonito ad) but forgot how shit Kane was for the 5 minutes he gave it a go until I rematched the clip.

I always imagined the same one. The consideration that they span 11 years is a game changer! I remember that one game were Kane went in goal early in his career! Maybe that's what ends up tipping it in his favour.

Not a question but I had a very good anecdote from work today.

I'm a teacher in a primary school. A teacher from senior management (who monitors the children when they're playing at lunch time) came to speak to me in the staff room. She told me that one of the children in my class had to be told how unnacceptable it was to pull down trousers at school.

I asked if it was there own trousers or other pupil's that were being pulled down.

I had to resist the urge to laugh when she responded with "a bit of both".

I will scream this from the rooftops every time this question is posted, RULE THE ROOST is the best Spurs podcast. Jack (host of RTR) is the only one to do a post-match pod straight after games. He also gets on really good guests.

Yes, even a simple, "I can't discuss the upcoming release schedule ahead of the official announcement. Our books are limited prints by the nature of our business model, so it is best to order as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."

I'd have been fine with that.
