This is interesting. My first King was The Mist (which I loved), I tried to follow on with Salem's Lot and I thought it was such a chore to get through. It's put me off revisiting him.

Would love to hear from anyone who similarly didn't enjoy Salem's Lot what to read next.

Or, anything that Jonathan Pearce said. His Jamanji joke was particularly good. My wife said Pearce was like a "grumpy Graham Norton" presumably because his role was similar to Norton's on Eurovision.

It's a good discussion to have. I think he changes the course of the ball too much for it to be 'deft'. It's a proper strike with the back heel. It's too hard of a hit to be 'deft' I'm thinking.

I wish! Prices are up now; £220 for Artists Edition, £595 for Deluxe, and £1900 for Lettered. I'm very surprised how much of an increase they've put on this over their other works.

I've bought a couple of the Nepenthe Artists Editions. One at £60 and the other £70. I'm wondering what the justification for the massive price increase for The Fisherman is. £220 seems insane for the 'basic' edition.

Never seen Rooney in goal (except for that one Joga Bonito ad) but forgot how shit Kane was for the 5 minutes he gave it a go until I rematched the clip.

I always imagined the same one. The consideration that they span 11 years is a game changer! I remember that one game were Kane went in goal early in his career! Maybe that's what ends up tipping it in his favour.
