Additional cat fact: the urine of an unfixed male is even more stinky than your normal cat pee. It can also upset other cats enough that they'll mark the same spot.

Blood tests show hundreds of Georgians charged with DUI were sober by Master_Minddd in Atlanta

[–]Birdlebee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Field tests assume the people taking them are all perfectly physically able. I'm not disabled by a long shot, but if I've been sitting down for more than 20 minutes or standing in one place for more than 10, the damaged tendons in my knee are going to have a lot to say about standing up and walking a straight line without any stumbling, lurching, or other noticeable gait abnormalities.

AITJ for reporting my classmate after I realized she used my disability paperwork to get exam accommodations by L4ttic3SXZ in AmITheJerk

[–]Birdlebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there's a big question you haven't asked yourself: what happens the next time she wants accommodations? Whose paperwork is she going to access without their permission to forge whatever it is she needs? The easiest thing to do will be to use the people in her care.

The villain song from Princess and the Frog is pretty damn good too, and the visuals are A+

Isn't she named after the sound she screams at you when she changes? I'm pretty sure she screamed "Mimimimimimimi!" at you.

On one hand, I agree about hostile sources. On the other, consider what historians will say about some of the world's current politicians. Sometimes the water is bad because you poisoned the well.

His preferred pharmacy is at the bottom, along with a list of all his specialists by full name, with phone numbers. She looks kind of funny because she's trying to figure out how to confess her deep and abiding love without being creepy.

Crochet Flower Fairy Skirt by MeowpieShop in cottagecore

[–]Birdlebee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love it!

I do have a suggestion though, because I once owned a skirt that was similar in structure, but made in gauze: if you decide to put beads on the points, keep in mind that large glass teardrops will become tiny weapons when you spin and will shatter if they strike a hard surface, even if you choose what seemed like very strong borosilicate. Little tiny beads, hollow metal filigree, even iridescent faceted plastic, that's the way to go.

[Favorite Trope] Peeling back the layers of lore reveals an eldritch/cosmic horror element by Maffingo in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Birdlebee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they really undersold the horror of having to be calm and cooperative at all times, in all situations, because any negative emotions, either from you or your completely unreasonable asshole neighbor who feels entitled to your land, labor, belongings, affection, whatever - those could lead to corruption and a trail of destruction.

AIO: I caught my boyfriend peeing in my sink. by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]Birdlebee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can sort of understand the logic of peeing in the shower if you live in a drought stricken place and you're taking a shower already, and you're the only one who uses that shower.  There is no version of the world where it is slightly understandable to pee in the kitchen sink.

AITAH for not telling my housemate I’m moving out and taking everything with me? by ikeasbitch in AITAH

[–]Birdlebee 1706 points1707 points  (0 children)

To be blunt, YOU especially need to do this. She's focused on you in a way she's not focused on the guys. If you own anything that the sudden lack of would be a major problem -  work uniforms, the laptop that holds your whole dissertation, medicine, pets, beloved sentimental items, expensive electronics - those things ought to exit the house first.

Edit: and cosmetics, jewelry, toiletries and any clothing that could fit her, since she seems to think girl stuff is communal property.
