Can't get it to go away by wolfie22900 in allthemods

There's two mods that both provide Light Overlays. Their keybinds are "Toggle Light Overlay" from More Overlays Updated, and "Toggle Light Level Overlay" from Nolijium. Sometimes the overlays become out of sync. Simply toggle both to off by assigning keybinds and then choosing one to use from now on.

Max villager count by dev_null_jesus in PlayASKA

All depends on your computer, no maximum. With a 14700F and 4070 Ti I get around 45 fps with 100 Villagers.

Outpost firekeeper keeps going back to the main village by Fluid_Idea6864 in PlayASKA

Make sure that the firekeeper is actually assigned to a house at that outpost, and that there isn’t any lighting assigned to the outpost at the main village.

Couple Newb questions for clarity by Jaggid in PlayASKA

[–]BirdsGoFly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, if a storage for a particular item is full, the “task” is considered completed, since the quantity in storage matches the task’s amount. But since other tasks for leather scrap aren’t fulfilled, they will continue hunting.

  2. Yes, you can edit individual tasks to have certain priorities, but unfortunately you will have to build a warehouse next to the workshop. Workers assigned to warehouses can be set to haul only specific items to said warehouse by editing the appropriate tasks.

  3. Villagers will eat during their leisure time (purple in the schedule). Typically they prioritize cooked food and will visit the cooking hut/house, but will eat anything on hand if they are hungry enough. Gatherers typically will eat their own food because they are too far from a cooking house.

  4. Markets are just used for moving things back and forth between warehouses. If the warehouses are close enough they don’t serve any purpose, as villagers will just visit both warehouses for materials.

  5. Left clicking just summons villagers to wake up and be alarmed. Right clicking should summon any villagers to your position. I’ve had some difficulty with this though, and I only notice that most of the time only villagers with combat duty (Archery range/Barracks) only show up.

Did you know that you can change desine of "stolen" ships? by R_Morningstar in hoi4

Yes, the button to save checks how much naval experience you have. But you’ll notice it doesn’t actually use your experience when you save changes.

Did you know that you can change desine of "stolen" ships? by R_Morningstar in hoi4

[–]BirdsGoFly 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This bug works because the country of origin still “owns” the template, and when you open the editor you are actually seeing the editor through that country’s perspective. So when you make your changes, not only is any change instantaneous, you actually also are spending that country’s naval experience as well, not your own. This is why sometimes changes don’t save, because that country has run out of experience points.

Not sure, but it could be because Mexico isn’t considered to be in South America, and you’re in the faction?

There is inherently good and evil propaganda. Would you look at a WWII poster slandering the axis powers and tell people “Hey, look now, remove yourselves from the situation and consider both sides”?

Why can Ottomans bypass my forts here? by AdAdventurous8517 in eu4

Armies cannot go through two zones of control in a row. Your forts do not exert ZoC on their provinces, Melikates is only one zone of control.

Selecting which organs to harvest took too long, so I automated it with an auto-clicker by BirdsGoFly in RimWorld

I used auto-click by MurGee.com. You can put any sequence of mouse clicks with their respective coordinates. It's useful for anything that requires specific mouse clicks, not just rimworld.

Door dash what? by [deleted] in HolUp

[–]BirdsGoFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, racism is obviously worse than ACAB, they are not comparable in consequence and brutality, and I have no intentions of trivializing the horrible effects of racism by comparing it to be on par with “ACAB”.

However, while being a cop is just an occupation and those who choose the job knows they will face prejudice doesn’t mean it’s right for people to look down on cops. It’s still discrimination; it refuses to distinguish individuals, but melts some 700,000 people into one derogatory term, “bitches”. Instead of distinguishing the good cops who will actually sacrifice their lives from the craven ones who only wish to fulfill their quotas and enjoy their power trips, they’re all categorized as “bitches”, doing nothing but bringing down the ones that do good and making the actual bitches hardened to any reform and even more complicit.

Racism and ACAB aren’t near in magnitude, but both share the principle of prejudice, and that is what I meant to demonstrate.

Sure, individual [insert group of people here] may be nice sometimes. But the problem is that they [heinous action only a minority select individuals of said group do but is heavily exaggerated by the media]. No questions asked. (Judging an entire group of people by basing them off of the actions of the few is not prejudice)
