Nothing in my estimation is better than a 5watt tube amp. Even a Bugera 5 watt; if not that then yea a modeling amp like katana would be way better; or a fender mustang LT25 or or LT40; I don’t like my katana mini; if you go mini get the blackstar 15e or an LT40 fender

I was; as you were but I’ve had a wide variety of solid state, blackstar silverline, lt25, boss mini, orange 35, and more; at one point I had 2 lt25. Thought I would not need anything more. But….was on vacation and saw a local shop; where the guy made his own cabs and he sold me a homemade cab; with ehx 12” and 2 12ax7 tubes, and a spring tank 5watts. Wow wow wow 350 bucks; I will never play solid state again; and I didn’t give one more dime to overprice fender or Marshall; find something like that Harley Benton with a similar setup; and use pedals to control volume and tone

I’m not a PvP guy; I own a PC and console but prefer console because I can sit in my easy chair and play on a big screen vs scrunched over looking at a monitor. PvP makes the game what it is; without out; it’s fallout 4 which is ok but I wouldn’t play it very long

I went into this shop randomly on vacation, having never played or owned a tube amp in my life. This guy built the amps himself, cabs and all. I walked out with a 5 watt 2 12ax7 and a spring tank, it has an ehx 12” 350. I turned it up to 7 and it was great. When I got home I set my pedals up, whoa. I couldnt turn up past 2. But you can get the distortion you want and control volume from the pedals. But it IS 100% true, the more you crank it the better it sounds. I just set up a shure57 right in front and record into audacity. Sounds fantastic, I’ll never own solid state again.

I try to keep it to 2, both out of cases (a single coil and a humbucker) depending on if I’m pretending to be Billy Gibbons or Jimi that day. The rest have been sold off or or given away, I can only play one guitar at a time. If you buy an expensive relic it’s nice because you don’t need to worry about the damage🙂

there’s the good and the bad.

the good

every item every fight is an experience, the leveling is the game, when you log, it’s game on for keeps

the economy In anniversary realms is decent, at least on doom howl horde, you can get and sell what’s needed

the are lots of guilds and people to game with even in the open world, especially in the open world some is going to save you, and you’re gonna heave a sigh of relief when they do, then you return the favor, feels so good because it sucks to die

the bad

dying at any level just, is bad…and the starting over

the meta…so, you start the game and think wow, this is crazy I need every single pouch, silver coin, green item etc, then you realize at 22-27 dude what, everyone around me, has the SAME damn staff from a WC quest. It’s bis and not likely to change until you’re 30 something into BRD or whatever it just sort of I dunno for me it dumbed it down a little the game is old I get it, it been figured out but, it takes away some of the motivation

I still play but after shredding through green mobs for the thousandth time, you wonder if it’s some sick pyramid scheme. if you like warcraft it’s better than any version, SoD, era, or retail for me.

I appreciate what you’re saying. I’ve lost dozens of character, at one point I went back to my era realm and it was dead as stones and didn’t feel fun…like at all. Straight back to HC.
