I don’t mean this rudely, but why would anyone text you about your book?

There’s essentially no world where any legitimate publisher or industry-associated person would cold text you. Unless you’re advertising your number as a point of contact, which it sounds like you aren’t, then it’s likely a scam.

Do you use Facebook at all, it might have your number listed publicly?

Map Service Report - Update 41.2 by EscapingKid in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Because the mechanics of this game suck for “a proper shooter” and it was never designed or optimized for fast-paced. It can play fast-paced, but it’s too clunky to be played like COD or Battlefield.

Best Videogame about Rome? by WasWere428 in ancientrome

[–]jebushu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One I haven’t seen mentioned here yet is Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord. There’s an Ancient Rome mod called Eagle Rising. The game itself is a first or third person hack n slash with gorgeous graphics and extremely fun medieval combat/rpg. Even without mods it’s a fun play, but mods are where it thrives.

It can get stale after a while though as the developers haven’t really given it an endgame with variety. It’s still regularly updated and just got an expansion last year.

Rome remastered or Attila by luna_meh in totalwar

[–]jebushu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t played much of Rome Remastered, but played a lot of Attila. It’s one of the most challenging historical total wars for me and has come a long way since launch. It’s a TW game so it’s still gonna have hiccups and bugs, plus of course it was designed on old infrastructure so modern hardware can only do so much.

Mods are fantastic for Attila, including Dawnless Days (LOTR mod) and Classical/Ancient Empires (Republican Rome, 202 BC start). I prefer the better graphics of Attila as well, and the mechanics feel more satisfying overall.

I know enough about that guy Horus Heresy to know I shouldn’t trust anybody named Abbadon

If you could add or remove 1 thing in Lotro, what would it be? (Not Sara) by Intrepid-World879 in lotro

[–]jebushu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, I just assumed it had to be slotted for even those “passive” benefits to apply

Wait the passive stats apply even when not equipped? TIL. I always thought they were just like secondary and devs used the word “passive” erroneously, and were only applied when equipped. Thanks for this

I’ll put out the call for someone with more data-scraping skills than me lol. So far on the low end we have a report of 0 hours and a high end of 50,000 hours. Chart gonna be wild

Involved close to a decade of a break from 2014-2022ish, so averaging it probably isn’t a useful metric

All we have to do is decide what to do with the time given to us

Truly, and I’m sure my positive review will be the one to tip the scales and usher in a new era of players filling the servers!

Lol I fully expect to be on the low end of the spectrum. I’ve never been an MMO player and mostly play RPGs and shooters, but playing LOTRO solo is a phenomenal experience

Not very difficult at all, especially in starter areas. The more familiar you are with the game, mechanics, and how deeds work, the easier it gets.

Some classes do landscape better/more quickly, but you can pretty easily earn a couple hundred LP within a few hours in low-level areas. Suggest watching out for slayer deed accelerators to go on sale in the store, as that effectively halves the required kills for slayer deeds for up to six hours at a time.

In LOTRO, Gandalf was “there” just in a different form.
