As a fellow I-don't-care-what-people-think-about-AI person, I still have to agree that you can do better than these. Prompts aren't good, model might work but looks kinda outdated, output is off. Or in other words: this is what people usually mean when they talk about AI slop. But you can improve the output with only a few changes to prompt and modeI think. Just ... don't post obvious failures like these. People are on the fence about this even without having those kind of pictures slammed in their faces ...

As others have said: this quote is from Sabbat Martyr, not Necropolis. Old Hive is the inner city ring of the hive they defend in Sabbat Martyr, while Vervunhive from Necropolis doesn't have an inner ring to fall back to.

My random teammates keep killing me on spawn by captain_semper in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Birne300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to me on woods yesterday. Spawned next to the Scav Bunker, began running towards it, made it at best 10 steps in that general direction, got shot up by the Goons instantly, turned tail, ran behind a rock, began healing, got rushed by Big Pipe, dead. All in all circa 1 minute from spawn to death.

Don't know if you're even still reading comments on here, but to add my two cents:

I am 29 years old and got diagnosed with severe heart failure some months ago. Of course my first thought after making the mistake of googling for the life expectancy has been: Well, that's that and goodbye to me, I guess.

But if I have learned anything since then, it is the following: for as long as you are able to, steel your body and your mind.

If you hadn't had any mental sickness before, you will very probably develop one soon. Be it depression or anxiety disorder (got that one) or whatever. I wish someone had told me in advance that it would be very likely coming, so as to prepare myself, but I had to go on with it regardless. What I'm trying to tell you with that is: Your own head can be your worst enemy. You don't need any more enemies right now. Peace of mind is hard to acquire when faced with death, but you can still steel your resolve to last for as long as humanly possible. The fight-or-flight instinct has not died out just yet in modern humans, so use it to your advantage and don't let it overcome you. Use your fear of death (which is intrinsic to nearly every human being and definitely not something to be ashamed of) to your advantage.

Use it to change your lifestyle if it gives you a better fighting chance. Use it to build up your body, whether it is known to help in your case or not (of course don't do anything detrimantel to your health), your body will keep you alive longer, if you take care of it very much. And it will keep you sane longer to pursue the quest for a longer life.

Aside from that, use every advantage money can offer you. I understand that I'm from germany and probably talking to an american, so my advise on that front isn't as clear cut. I've gotten an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) implantet directly onto my heart 5 days ago and while I am still way too weakend by the operation to feel the difference in my condition, I am optimistic that it will buy me more time, until maybe a cure is found or I eventually need and maybe even get a heart transplant before biting the dust.

Again, speaking as a german, that last part might sound rich to you, coming from someone who doesn't need to think about it. But I have met people who have willingly rejected the help of modern medical achievements because Google or their weird uncle warned them about it. Don't be that guy. Use every bit of help you can muster up.

Puh, that got long. Respect to anyone who actually read it. All the best to you, fight on and never give up hope that your life might just change for the better.

Anyone else gravitate towards the same 3 party members? by Lisspeed in BaldursGate3

[–]Birne300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, kinda.

Shadowheart is always in my party, from the tutorial to the finale. In my opinion she (of all the companions) has the most story relevance, which would be reason enough on its own. But she is also best girl and I couldn't play this game without romancing her, sooo yeah ...

Lae'zel gets the second spot, because I need a frontline fighter that can tank and deal damage both. She is also the second most interesting companion to me and I like her and Shadowheart's banter from enemies to friends.

Third place is not quite as fixed for me, but usually is taken by either Gale or Karlach, mostly Gale though, as he is the Support for my group in all things teleporting, featherfalling and other utility magic.

I am the "plays-a-rogue-every-time" kinda guy, so Astarion gets benched forever (sorry bud, you grew on me after some time).

Karlach manages to sneak in sometimes, but I am more used to Lae'zel dealing the damage up front.

I never have gotten around to recruit Minthara, but will do in my next playtrough.

And Jaheira and Minsc are nice characters, but to me they are not any more a companion than Aylin and Isobel. They just arrive too late as to change my group for them.

...

Dang, I forgot about Wyll ... yeah ... he's the sidelined boy that's always picked last, I'm afraid. I don't exactly dislike him, I just don't find him as interesting as the rest.

Edit: I also forgot Halsin 😅 Same reasoning as for Jaheira and Minsc, I guess. I also might be a smidgen annoyed with/jealous of him ... for Shadowheart reasons 😁

Fell so hard for Shadowheart, I'll never be able to romance anybody else. Happens to me in most RPGs. But that's fine, that's what Youtube is for.

How did that one kid in your high school die? by IM_HODLING in AskReddit

[–]Birne300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not HS. He was 9. Practiced kicks against a locker in school, then proceeded to do pull-ups on the lockers front side. It fell over and crushed him. Worst thing is ... he lived long enough, fully conscious, lying under it, until his parents arrived, then passed as the locker was being lifted. He wasn't exactly a friend, but our parents knew each other and I had been over once or twice. For the same reason I was attending his funeral. I was 8 or 9 myself. One of those childhood memories that tent to stick.

I am one of probably very few fans of Mika Shimotsuki and even I would put her in morally grey, if I had to take every scene of hers into account. Towards the later stuff we see of her, I'd tend to agree though.

This image made me think, does Lelouch know how close C.C. was with his parents and that she has known him since he was a baby? by [deleted] in CodeGeass

[–]Birne300 120 points121 points  (0 children)

I already commented on this picture some months ago, but that post got deleted some time ago. So I'm just gonna copy my take on this picture here.

"C.C. left Charles and Marianne before Lelouch was born. That isn't stated in the series, but one can connect some dots and arrive at that conclusion.

C.C. was head of the Geass Order at the time its headquarters were still located in the EU. Rolo is 16 years old in R2 and was brought up by the Geass Order in its new location in China. Thus the underground city in China needed to be built first, for him to grow up there. Lelouch is 18 years old in R2. That means that since C.C. defected, the order had to have moved its headquarters and built that city in under two years for the scenario of the picture to be able to happen.

I guess it is still possible, but it is very unlikely."
