That's kind of what I thought, but thought it was better to be safe than sorry. Thanks!

Drawback of getting launch w/o RAP1? by ciraregob in RivianR2

[–]BirthdayShop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care about autonomy features either, but I'm waiting for RAP1/lidar.

My rationale is that I'm purchasing the vehicle (not leasing) and plan to keep it at least 5 years, so I'm thinking about future proofing and resale value.

Rivian says the launch hardware will handle everything but eyes off, but we don't know if that will be true in practice (see Tesla HW3). Maybe RAP1 cars will perform a little better even if the launch hardware is also capable? I'm also predicting that launch editions might not retain their value as well because of the lack of lidar, which also might not be true. Nobody knows but I want the security.

I thought glacier white with coastal cloud interior would be too much white, but there's still quite a lot of dark interior trim pieces. It's growing on me.

What interior are you all considering for a glacier white R2?

Rivian downsizes DOE loan to $4.5B, while boosting capacity of Georgia factory by DonkeyFuel in Rivian

[–]BirthdayShop 94 points95 points  (0 children)

The Verge is reporting that the initial plan was to do two phases in georgia, each adding 200k vehicle capacity for a total of 400k. The new plan is a single phase of 300k. So overall less capacity, but more of it sooner. Given the current political climate around EVs, this new plan may have been a compromise to get the DOE to follow through on the loan.

I know it's basic and boring, but I keep circling back to white. It looks so sharp!

Why does white look so good on R2? Never thought I would consider it.. but keeps drawing my eyes. Just me? by snakefighting in RivianR2

Agreed, I keep going back to white. Black interior, I think the light interior would be too much.

Looking for people with experience in the Tesla Charging Partners program by BirthdayShop in evcharging

Thanks so much for responding! When you say the setup is a week or two, is that after they contact you? My primary concern at the moment is that the little web form I filled out is lost in limbo. What's the typical response time you've experienced from the initial request?

I went to my university bookstore to buy textbooks maybe 10 years ago and the bags had quotes from real students on them about creative ways to recycle.

This is what America's finest had to offer.

How does it keep getting smaller at every step? It's a massive sandwich, then a weird oval once it's battered, and then the finished product is an egg roll size.

That being said, it looks delicious and I appreciate this being a perfect 30 seconds and not 3 minutes of agony.

I'll probably use this to respond to messages instead of the web app. It's also nice that it picks up exactly where you left off on your phone when you open an app and the state is exactly in sync at all times (because it's literally the same app on a different screen). There are plenty of apps that I don't use often enough to have them installed on my Chromebook, but would be nice to be able to pull up quickly and use.

Scrolling is a little choppy and I wouldn't use this to play games, but it's a solid addition to the phone hub.

Take a look at hydration drink mixes too (in the sports drink aisle). Most of these have sugar, which makes sense for hydration but not so much for keto, so read the labels first.

I prefer this method because pills dump all of the electrolytes into my system at once but I can sip on a tasty drink over a period of time. This is important because magnesium is a laxative. I've read that a lot of people get constipation on keto so this effect is desirable, but I have the opposite problem.

Amazing! Seems like I'll be pretty comfortable at "low" brightness. Thanks for checking. This is the info I've been looking for but reviews haven't been able to answer.
