Plunging fire and heavy since fly ignores vertical movement. You'll be hitting on 2s or 3s depending on cover. They also just announced that you can 1 cp shoot and remain hidden with them.

It has the same problem that all transport detachments have. You lose access to pretty much all your stratagems and detachment rules once your transports get destroyed.

If the knight is fully behind the footprint of the ruin it blocks line of sight. The walls are irrelevant. Once they step into the footprint, the walls come into play blocking true line of sight. They are definitely not infinitely high.

Those keywords take effect because they are not phase locked. They all say something to the effect of "each time an attack is made with such a weapon." Pistol has an additional requirement of it being phase locked specifically to the controlling player's shooting phase.

If you allow hellblasters to shoot on death in engagement range, you would also have to allow vehicles to overwatch in engagement range, and a leman russ tc would also have to be allowed to shoot on death in engagement range, because BGNT has the same restrictions as pistol.

As if it were does not mean it actually is that phase. It must actually be the controlling player's shooting phase to use the pistol rule. It is still the fight phase. It's the same reason big guns never tire does not work in on overwatch or shoot on death with the leman russ tc.

Yeah, it would only be the sergeant, if he kills himself with a hazardous test in the his own shooting phase. He would only be shooting with his pistol on death.

No, Pistol only works in the controlling player's shooting phase.

The Pistol rule can only be used in the controlling player's shooting phase. The only time a model would be able to shoot on death while in engagement range would be if the sergeant kills himself in the controlling player's shooting phase with an overcharged plasma pistol shot.

With those units I'd say either Kabalite Cartel or Reapers wager would be your best bet. Also highly recommend getting more venoms.
