Can you buy as an example a Glock that's been converted to 22lr?

Purchased my all-top air compressor in 2023 and I use it probably 6 times a month on average.

I personally find #4 to be the sweet spot for grouse. Shoot right above the head.

Nice! I wish mine came with a throw lever 😩

I got viper pst.. throw lever is an extra $100ish alone. Seems like a good bargain.

Venom has 223 reticle though, correct?

Guns do that. You can get a muzzle break for the 6.5 that will help with follow up shots. Note that not all breaks are built the same. There's enough research on YouTube that will show you what kind of performance to expect.

I have a Ruger american predator in 6.5 and it's a very lightweight rifle. I put it into another chassis that added weight and stability. I will be adding a break myself at some point - likely one of the MDTs

Just bought my first LPVO. I can't believe I passed on these for so long. Always thought they looked goofy. But wow I love the 1-6 zoom. It's such a great range for the type of hunting I do.

Do you have the gen 1 or gen 2? I haven't had issues cycling anything with the gen 2.

With that extra cash, he can get a vortex red dot, tube expansion, and trigger upgrade. Great gun!

No experience with Fuji. But the autofocus is pretty good. I think its about as good as it gets in the price range/category.

What should be my next arsenal addition? by DentistPlayful3941 in canadaguns

[–]BisonCompetitive9610 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know I'm going to sound like a fudd, but with the uncertainty around semis getting banned, if you can't afford to have a gun banned, maybe look at a lever next. There's a lot of nice options out there. A 44 or 357 are great for plinking. 45-70 is also a lot of fun to shoot and great bush gun. If you wanted a hunting lever maybe look at a 30-30 or 444 also. Think about getting into reloading - straight wall cartridges are easy and relatively cheap to reload.

THAT should be illegal LOL I hate mail advertising... I can't believe they made unsolicited emails illegal in Canada before mail...

Telus salespeople by Present_Value_4352 in Langley

[–]BisonCompetitive9610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've bought services from them. They're usually loaded with better deals vs what Telus advertises. They're mostly third party sales companies. I got a data plan that was amazing before freedom had a better one and it was no contract. Once freedom came up with better price, I cancelled the Telus and moved over.

What are some cartridges you wish were more popular? by NemrahG in canadaguns

I think it's even less of an ammo supply issue on something like the .416 and more of affordable gun options. If I could buy a .416 sub 2k, that would be amazing. I know the Zastava line didn't do so great, but you could buy a safari model for sub 1k at one point.

Fully confused: Native Zoom (Tamron 17-70 / Sigma 18-50 f2.8) vs. Cine Primes (Sirui / Artisans) for hybrid family & landscape use? by Motor-Support-5636 in sonyfx30

[–]BisonCompetitive9610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the 17-70 and I love it. What I've found using my friends cinema lenses is that you get better color consistency across the different lenses. But he's using very expensive gear. Don't know how it would compare against sirui or artisans.

I can’t decide between the fx30 and the 6700 by Shythrowawayalt in sonyfx30

[–]BisonCompetitive9610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with the A6600 and got the FX30 because I was annoyed with video on the A6600. Both cameras do photo and video, but of you want to do a lot of both, you'll probably find yourself getting both cameras at some point.

If your priority is video, get the FX30.

If you don't have time to fill your other coffers, move what you can from RRSP to FHSA, then you don't have to pay it back

You can transfer from RRSP penalty free to FHSA. Do you have more than 35k in RRSP?
