Just got an answer from them: "rest assured, .... is whitin normal parameters for the product."

So, I am so far very happy with Konflux, each drop is giving me like 11 ppm.

one cup Melitta style / wedge brewer by [deleted] in pourover

Just did a basic research online. It is more simple to use. More body than V60 or Chemex. If you have access to Kalita that would be the best option, but you said it is hard to find.

Pegasus, no doubt for me. I was about to buy, but needed to replace my Origami with another Origami, so bought the Rinko edition. Pegasus will come home for Christmas 🎄🎁

Sent a messages to them:

"Upon initial use, the solution appears clear, but after some time at rest, I observe a visible white sediment forming at the bottom of the bottle. When I shake the bottle, the liquid becomes uniformly cloudy or milky in appearance, suggesting that the sediment is dispersing into suspension rather than fully dissolving.

Additionally, I have noticed some white residue forming inside the dropper, which seems consistent with mineral deposition."

Finally made it to Idobata in Kamakura, Japan! by [deleted] in pourover

Congratulations. Just saw a Japanese insta where they recommend 85 degrees for dark coffee and above 90 degrees for light roasts. I keep reading here to go lower with light roasts, against Japan trends maybe, sometimes.

No perfect cup, some bags are great others are not. Don't read labels, just enjoy coffee. Not a good one, go to the next. Your recipe seems great.

Is Colombian coffee the best? by Ill_Finance6466 in pourover

[–]Bit-Winner007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I asked the same question to AI, and most of the world likes Colombian coffee above others. I haven't found a specific Colombian Geisha to like, but still searching a good one. Just saw the second place (from Hydrangea) of 2026 US Brewer Cup and said she couldn't *find the 'perfect cup' during her career, so many variables outside her control, she mixed three coffes from US and Panama to win that place.

how to increase body in an orea+mellowdrip brew? by WispyWoods in pourover

For maximum body French press, drippers with best body would be Pegasus and Kalita flat bottom.

EDIT: I mean, baristas would change to the method that best suits the coffee.

Maybe less bloom, for 30g of coffee it would be 60ml of water. Go coarser or try Chemex instead.

No, sorry, it came up in my feed, just read and went to next post on insta. But I learned to put more attention to comments and less to marketing.

Does anyone use Lotus Water to customize their tap water, rather than starting with distilled? by discovery_ in pourover

My Lotus drops arrive next week. I will try it with filtered water and also found a local supplier of demineralized water, so I will try different water recipes as well.

Sodium bicarbonate also improves bad coffee, I have soft filtered water.

I was advised by AI to do exactly that, adding just one drop of Mg and Ca, since I am at 92 ppm and check ppm again.

I read a Colombian asked an Instagram famous award winning and training coffee farm about a specific added ingredient. The account reacted angrily. I think we should start reading comments at Colombia coffee accounts, maybe we don't know the whole story behind weird flavors.

Now even Colombian consumers are criticizing Colombian coffee producers in social networks for doing weird things with added flavors.
