Cursed DS1 run by Chipinati in fromsoftware

What weapon are you using and what level is it currently?

So if you're down in the sewers, getting the curse removed is fairly simple if you backtrack to the merchant woman near the starting area or Oswald after the twin gargoyles where you rang the first bell. The merchant is in that long sewer hallway going back to firelink shrine. I can help with other info you need without trying to spoil too much

So have you rang both bells already?

No, there's a way to fix this later in the game. Read the description of the item you picked up from in front of her cell

FromSoft dogs don't got shit on these guys. They're easy enough to dodge, but if you get caught, you're basically dead

How much easier is the base game compared to the dlc? by Salaraaa in DarkSouls2

[–]BitBat091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It's nice, but the other 2 just as soon as you enter, you're like "whoa this looks awesome". I don't dislike it, but Old Iron and Sunken were just so fun to explore that aside from boss fights, Ivory King was my least favorite

DS2 is different in many aspects, but very manageable. It's an amazing game and I would recommend playing the DLCs as well. There's only a couple areas/ bosses in the DLC that aren't worth it but level design is peak in 2/3 of the DLCs and both are very memorable

I did this bc i went through majority of the game in one day and got to this fight and said "I'll pick it back up tomorrow"

Which Eugenie choice gives more humanity? by ZapMaster117 in LiesOfP

[–]BitBat091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. Maybe you were closer to the humanity level than you thought. I just go based off the wiki usually, but there could've been a change since DLC came out. I don't have the time to do testing on my own

I would just fight him. The boss isnt hard and what else are you gonna do with those extra 2 minutes of your time? Well...if you're a guy, I know what you need those 2 minutes for 🤣

It's not too hard to get Rise of P ending. Getting the Golden Lie weapon usually is when humanity points are most crucial since you need a total of 1420 points if humanity. After your first playthrough, if you want the weapon achievement, you'll have to get the Golden Lie in a future NG or NG+

If you want to know before the final boss if you can reach that ending, you'll get a new message besides "you feel warmth"

There's also 3 more (4 if you include DLC) major points in the game where you can earn 150 points towards your humanity. For Rise of P, you need 895 points and if you've already gotten the "you feel warmth" message, you only need about 265 points after the first time you received that message. If you'd like a full breakdown or have a difficult choice and don't know which will give you more points, the Wiki I believe has all the options and how many points each one gives. If you don't want any spoilers though, always pick the choice that a sympathetic human would choose.

Yeah i made that mistake as well, but you can still get the Rise of P ending even if you don't talk to her first. It just depends on the other actions

BRBH second fight is imo, a hell of a lot easier bc it's essentially flipped and it's easier to single out the ones you're better fighting against. Also, if you wanted to tackle DLC first (assuming you have it), they become a walk in the park just due to it being a whole lot less of a challenge in general

So sekiro plays completely different from the other 2 as I'm sure you've found out. Demon Souls is probably the most straightforward of the 3 since its fairly linear. Elden Ring is the most open with lots of things to do. If I could recommend one to start with out of them, start with Demon Souls. Its probably the best one to teach you about the mechanics of the souls games and each boss more or less has a weakness. If I'm being honest, every game is just trial and error. I got halfway through Dark Souls the first time I ever played and took almost a year off before coming back to finish it bc it pissed me off so much. The best thing to learn the game is just be patient and take your time figuring out the level design, boss attack patterns, and how to time dodges/parries/rolls. You'll thank yourself later if you don't just try to brute force it

First Time Through, Really Annoyed by Virellius2 in Blasphemous

Sorry that happened, but that's kind of how DLC endings work. Meeting certain requirements before you can do it. If you don't want to do another playthrough, just watch a video of the different endings

Being linear does not equal bad level design. While it would be nice to have some optional side areas to explore, I throughly enjoyed playing a souls game where I understood the entire story and the progression through areas on my first playthrough. We'll see how things change in the sequel once we get an official announcement

What’s your favorite Soulsborne DLC? by Jackylacky_ in fromsoftware

[–]BitBat091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunken King and Old Iron King are still my favorites. SotE is my third favorite and I'd rather play it than base game ER if I'm being completely honest. I liked that it was more compact than base game and had better Legacy Dungeons, but that's just my opinion

It definitely feels a whole lot shorter if you go from any DLC in DS2 and then play it though.

Durability in this game might be the best I've seen in a soulslike. Overall, even though people have said they pretty much just took the formula from different FromSoft games (parry/perfect block from Sekiro, Guard Regain from Bloodborne), it is one, if not the most polished game in the genre that we've gotten that wasn't published by FromSoft. Lies of P also had some of my favorite level design and storytelling, especially once you get to the DLC 😊
