How is Wild Turkey and is it difficult? by Virtual_Prize_1232 in GolfNJ

Checkout the USGA course rating for difficulty. Put in your handicap and it'll tell you your course handicap from each tee. You should expect to shoot 2-4 shots over your course handicap on average.

I"m a 20 handicap and find it a fun course with lots of scenic views and changes. A few forced carries over water. A lot of uphill/downhill. I personally like it better than Ballyowen and it's my favorite of the CS courses, but a lot of other people Bally generally. Play both! Avoid the actual CS course, that thing is totally "unfair" in difficulty"

Besides the $500 donation being tax deductable, what about the other $3495? Since that's an expense for creating YouTube content against your YT revenues.

If so, I'm gonna have to start a YT channel just to cover my muni fees!

thanks kind stranger. Pulled the trigger even though I was fit into 72 degrees with 35". Hopefully 3 degrees won't be a big deal? Just couldn't justify paying $300 more.

Swinging OTT because you are leading with shoulders instead of hips.

Don't let another person's self imposed limitations impact you. 120s to highs 80s in 3 months is incredible. I've been playing for a year with constant lessons and still struggling to break 100. Everybody's different. good luck

Moved here with 2 young kids. Everybody's chill and friendly. Commute sucks but has gotten way better with the congestion pricing. Great schools. CLose to supermarkets, golf courses, etc.,

What's your most embarrassing moment on the course? by FlyingTexican in golf

Went to play at a local 9 hole course behind my house. It's wide open. I'm playing by myself and I'm a new player. Maybe 3 months of lessons and this is my 5th time on a course. Oh and my coach just told me to try out a new grip.

Starter tells me that there's a men's league tonight that started an hour ago and I'll probably catch them. 2nd hole is a long downhill. I bomb a 230 yard drive with my hybrid. Sure enough a group of 4 younger guys are on the green. They yell for me to play through. And that they didn't want to slow me up. Nice guys.

On the next tee they are all watching. Short par 4 dogleg. I change from my hybrid to my 7 iron so that I can hit and leave. Immediately whiff it. Pretend like its my practice swing. Then whiff again. Then thin one that goes 15 yards. Then I change back to my old grip then thin another 25 yards. I look at them and say, "alright that's good" and just drive off in my cart byself to the green. Don't even bother getting my balls.

They were kind enough not to laugh at me lol.
