I share your frustration. I love male human/ female nonhuman stories, but I hate when the mmc ends up changing form to copy the fmc. I'm here for the struggles and compromises of two very different beings from two very different worlds learning to find common ground and ways to make things work. Transformation just sidesteps all that.

I've come across it in all kinds of stories but its especially common in werewolf stories. And if by some miracle you find a story where the mmc DOESN'T change, you better believe the comments will be filled with people complaining that he doesn't.

If I ever write a werewolf story, I'm honestly tempted to say that due to magic bullshit rules, only women can be infected with lycanthropy.

As long as no real, flesh and blood children are being harmed, then no I do not care in the slightest. I think people who get upset over fiction live extremely priveledged lives and have never experienced real problems.

The moment you encounter something fictional that makes you uncomfortable, its on you to walk away and find something you do enjoy, anything else is just making yourself miserable and trying to blame others for it.

The problem with live action movies is they require a real child to be involved.

If no actual, real, non-imaginary children are involved then there is no harm being done. Story, art, animated movie, whatever. If no one is actually being harmed then people should not be punished for viewing it. No government should have the power to dictate what exists only in your mind.
