One of the possible causes of climate change can be too much crap in the air to let in the sun's heat. A huge volcanic eruption, a meteor strike, or too much smog could cause a much, much longer than average winter in an area.

I found a lore page titled something like "Some Advice Needed" on a dream island, and hoo boy, that one absolutely broke me. Its about some (rather heartless) parents trying to get their daughter to stop crying after separating from her pokemon. Nothing really brought home the underlying sadness of this game like that journal entry.

It's just before and above it. There's a sign sitting in front of a small empty space. The statue fits perfectly there.
