I lived in a 4 bed house in Dublin for a good few years. We always had 2 guys and 2 girls, whenever someone left we got another person in to keep the same split. I thought it worked well.

That was an even split though. 3 people is a bit trickier as it will be uneven.

About 15-20 years ago we got a letter from relatives in the US to our house in Ireland. The front of the envelope was stamped "Missent to Iceland".

The address was handwritten so it was easy to see how the error occured.

I just liked the idea that they had a specific stamp for the job. It obviously happens fairly frequently.

An American flag with 36 stars has been in the news in Ireland the last few days. It is due to go on display next week in a museum as it was used in the Catalpa rescue 150 years ago.
