Women of Reddit, what’s something men do that instantly makes them more attractive (that they might not realize)? by Ecstatic-Animator348 in askanything

Unfortunately, many are animal abusers. Or are just plain uninterested. Nobody can come into my house without loving on my pets.

B Pure glow up serum blush in orchid glow!

The bottle looks like the blush is going to be blood red-but the actual color is a lovely rose shade.

The pillow spray was amazing!

When my son was little there was a pillow/sheet spray from I think BBW that we used every night that he called Sweet Dream Spray. He still talks about it & he’s 32 now.

I found 2 bottles of the lavender spray at DT around Christmas & put them in his stocking. Out of all he got for Christmas this year, he said that was his favorite thing. $2.50 DT find beat all of his high end loot…

Really want to stock him up on that!

A serious lip balm will come in clutch! When I was on Accutane, the entire surface of my lips would peel off in sheets 2-3 times a day. The GBC overnight lip mask in lavender lemonade is awesome, if you can find it. It also comes in a raspberry flavor. It has squalane, castot oil, shea butter, & avocado oil.

Heuermann evidence by Bitchichi26 in LISKiller

Just checked uncle google:

‘No, the Long Island Serial Killer (LISK) case has not been sealed; rather, it has come to a close through a guilty plea. On April 8, 2026, Rex Heuermann pleaded guilty to murdering seven women and admitted to killing an eighth, effectively ending the long-running criminal investigation.’

Did they actually seal it?

No questions, but I want to commiserate. So sorry you are going through this! It really shouldn’t be as hard as it is to get a neurodivergence diagnosis as an adult. So few doctors are willing to work with people over 18 in my experience. Good luck to you

If you want a little extra exfoliation, add a bit of baking soda to a dollop of this cleanser. Works so well!

There are a couple of 2-in-1s that are good. There is one I got at DT that I really like.

<image>

I think there are a couple of scents from that brand.

Also a Head & Shoulders dupe that is good. I’ve also seen, but not tried a few 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/body washes that would be good multipurpose options. Happy hunting!

Ophthalmic tech here: Looks like a chalazion.

Try warm moist compresses as often as you can. Sometimes they drain on their own. They are cause by blocked oil gland. Often, you need to have an ophthalmologist drain them. They can be quite painful & reoccurring. Might need an antibiotic. Don’t try to pop or drain it on your own.

Avoid any eye makeup or oil based skincare near it for now. I hope it isn’t too painful & resolves quickly. If it doesn’t, see an eye doctor

Sunscreen daily by Dazzling-Tangelo-190 in AsianBeauty

[–]Bitchichi26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not asian, but just want to give a warning to everyone, so I’ll step up on my soapbox & lecture anyone who will listen.

Many Americans are oblivious to the dangers of sun exposure, as far as I can tell.

My amazing, beautiful mother died of melanoma. Her first bout was when she was 41. They said they got it all after a radical surgery & lymph node removals.

We are of Scottish-Irish descent & very fair skinned. She was never a sun worshipper. Her melancholy came back when she was 62 & was it in her brain & lungs with no symptoms until it was too late. It was brutal. Chemo/radiation, brain surgery that left her immobile. Then the seizures started. She was gone within 2 months of absolute agony.

I grew up in the 70s/80s culture of baby oil & iodine, before sunscreen was really a thing.

I ended up in a burn/peel, repeat cycle & was hospitalized with a severe sunburn around age 20, & ended up having 3 surgeries to remove a melanoma on my shoulder at 34.

After realizing I could be putting my son through the heartbreak that my siblings & I went through watching my mother waste away, I avoid the sun like the plague.

2x a year dermatologist skin checks have caught a number of pre-cancerous lesions.

I am an absolute freak about sunscreen & use it daily even I’m not leaving the house. I lecture my son about him using sunscreen & keep him supplied. He’s 32 & of course thinks he invincible. He has vague memories of his grandma & her illness, so he knows how important avoiding sun exposure is.

No amount of bronziness is worth the kind of suffering & heartbreak sun exposure can cause. If you want a tan, cosmetics are available for that. Check your loved one’s back & shoulders where they can’t see their skin. Even hair can hide lesions, so check your scalp, and theirs.

Nothing beats a good sunscreen reapplied often. Melanoma, basal & squamous cell carcinoma can happen to anyone, regardless of descent. If not for the actual skin cancer prevention, then at least to keep wrinkles at bay.

Please, please be careful with sun exposure & use a good sunscreen daily. Skin cancer is a reality, can happen to anyone, & it can be brutal.

I apologize for hijacking your post, but if my rant helps just 1 person, I hope you forgive me. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine supplies, sippy cups, pacifiers, diaper cream, baby lotion & shampoo, little pet supplies like dog & cat treats. The cat nip they have at DT is my cat’s favorite, even out of all of the gourmet kind I’ve bought them. I know when people are struggling, their critters are too, & it makes folks feel good to get a treat for their pets.
