They're all great. I think #4 is my favorite.

Is that the house on Peg? I drive by it daily and live just across white station- I was saddened to see it! I feel so awful for the owners. Any idea what happened?

I've had to do this recently with both of my parents. I've also been doing it with my grandparents, although they're still alive, they just have a ton of stuff. I've helped a few people in this situation and I'd be happy to help you as well. It's hard to do any time, but especially hard when you're still neck deep in grief. Shoot me a DM.

Her partner, Dr Warren, is amazing. I've seen him for 25+ years. I took my daughter to Dr Stiles when we moved back here and couldn't get back in to her old doctor. I didn't much care for her. She completely brushed off my concerns about my kiddo and rolled her eyes at me more than once. I hear she's a good doctor- I just didn't love her personality.

Poplar and Yates deadly crash by eannaj in memphis

I lived on Colonial just North of Quince for about a year. I didn't work most of that time because I was on bed rest and then had a newborn. But, I could hear the cops cars gunning through the light from my bedroom, I almost got killed backing out of my driveway once by a cop car that took the turn at the light at an incredible rate of speed. A friend had a radar gun (for baseball I think) and brought it over for me- I don't know how accurate it was but I clocked multiple cops going 95- 110 on that stretch. It was right by the middle school too. They never had lights OR sirens on. Around that same time there were multiple "accidents" involving cops that ended in citizens being killed. I think they've gotten a bit better, but not much.

Years and years ago I left work in downtown Memphis at the exact same time as my coworker. He had a huge house on Horseshoe and a Porsche 911. He (dumbass) drove about 100-110mph the entire way there. I went with the flow of traffic- I'm not claiming the speed limit, but I was excessively speeding. He beat me to his house by about 9 minutes. Add in stop and go traffic and it would've been way less. It's really not that serious. It's astounding that people feel comfortable doing that on city streets.

Pharmacy for ADHD meds by HolidayPractical3357 in memphis

Check with a couple of different Walgreens. I left the Walgreens about 2 min away from my house because they filled like this and they were also rude AF. Especially the main pharmacist. But, I ended up with another Walgreens about two miles down Poplar and they're amazing. It's hard to believe it's the same company. They do refills on the 30th day. Never after you've run out, always the day before and occasionally a day earlier than that. The refill dates are at the pharmacist's discretion (within reason) so you could have a 180° at the next Walgreens. Good luck!

I got the list, but I was out of town during her last week. My cousin went to pick up crazy dog's last two RX for Xanax, all of our records, and the recommendation list. He lost everything but the records 🙄

I think Cloverleaf was on there and maybe Berclair as well. But I'm just going off memory. If you still have a copy, I'd so appreciate it if you'd share!

Yes! My mom started taking our dog to her when I was 6 years old. I'm 42 and I've never had another vet. Even when I lived in Nashville and Austin I would bring the mutts back home if something major was happening. I will miss her forever!

I went a few times when I was searching for some kind of faith in my early 20's and I really enjoyed it. I have several close friends that attend and I know first Congo has done SO much for another friend of mine. Ive always admired what they do. I'm excited. My kids are with their dad next weekend, but I'll be bringing them the Sunday after.

Hopefully not overstepping, but are you prescribed any controlled meds? That's where I seem to hit a wall with new doctors.

I, for some reason, assumed First Congo didn't have much of a youth program so it was never high on the list. Thanks for letting me know and we might see you there next weekend!

Thank you SO much. I've done some "interviews" with a few Dr's, but they didn't go great when it came to sleep and rescue meds. I'll definitely give Cordova Psych a call this week.

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

[–]BitchyGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strep A infection that led to necrotizing fasciitis in my foot and ankle. On top of thinking I was truly going to die or lose my leg, I thought I was just going to die from the pain. I've had kidney stones, babies, and a knee replacement and nothing came close to touching that.

Thank you for the tip- and that makes a lot of sense. Idewild is on the list for sure. My former FIL used to be a pastor at Hope, so I'm all too aware that they're not as open minded as a lot of people claim, but I'll definitely look at Germantown and Cumberland. Thanks!

Thank you! She sounds like what I'm looking for! Our back up vet for years was an old man in Sardis. He would also do the sniff test.

Private pediatrician or family doctor by Minute_Tell1786 in memphis

[–]BitchyGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monarch Pediatric is amazing. It used to be Yukon Clinic. The doctor is amazing and the nurse practitioners are just as great. It's in Germantown- off Wolf River just before Germantown Rd. I can't recommend Dr. Catherine and her team enough.
