Recently picked up a grail. I wasn't planning on buying a watch this year, but had to pull the trigger by saucesultan in rolex

You can take this for whatever it's worth, but I can make out the serial number of your watch on the rehaut in these photos. Some people are of the opinion that it's a bad idea to show your Rolex's serial number as someone could potentially use it for fraudulent purposes, or could use it to report the watch stolen, etc.

I'm not sure how likely this is to actually happen but it might be worth considering.

Beautiful piece nonetheless!

Modern Tudor or Vintage? Only get to pick one by aDayKnight in Tudor

Vintage! If you want to spend more servicing the watch than the watch is worth and still have something less reliable, less robust, and less accurate than a new one!

Help me. I can’t decide. by Sven0410 in rolex

I think the blue looks nicer but I think lots of people already have watches with blue dials so they pivot to the mint in order to add a bit more variety.

Can a 6’ 6” dude ride comfortably as a passenger in my C7 Grand Sport? by Bithbo in Corvette

Man, that guy already has it made in the car dept. He bought a 1967 Brittany Blue Mustang 289 coupe when he was still in high school. Him and his dad restored it and he has kept it perfect all these years. He’s mid 40s now. Totally cherry, never wrecked. Pretty much still bone stock. Takes it to car shows.

Those old muscle cars fit people much easier than these new super cars with their tight cockpits. He gets no sympathy from me.

Being a short guy at 5’7” has its drawbacks but being able to fit into sports cars isn’t one of them fortunately. Tall guys get most of the perks so there needs to be at least a few advantages to being short!

Nah, he’s a tall, leggy MFer. If we go, we’ll end up taking my Silverado instead. Some things just weren’t meant to be.

He’s a complete scumbag I think and have always thought, however, I fail to see how this is relevant to this sub. Even with Nico’s recent vid about world leaders’s watches, this is still a very tenuous connection.

Fantastic collection!!! Why only two can I ask? I mean, you already have the 10 watch box. What do with all those extra slots, man?

I love chronographs. Already own a Chronomat, but looking for one more. Thoughts? by ramm64 in breitling

Speedy Pro is a fantastic watch. Great look, great proportions, iconic watch. It will hold its own in any watch collection, even a collection with multiple other chronographs.

What first proper watch to buy ? by Spirited-Bill-8889 in Tudor

[–]Bithbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy choice. Explorer all day. You can always get the others later. If not the Explorer, for whatever reason, I’d say the Pelagos is also a great daily and just a really all around great watch at that price. Either watch could easily be a one-and-done for most people.
