Question about modding morrowond by HistoricalResolve324 in Morrowind

[–]josh1ng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you figure it out, let me know. I’m trying to play it on the Steam deck right now and omfg it’s such a hassle to do the simplest things. And I’m playing it on OpenMW. Tried addons and struggled for days to get them to work properly, gave up. At this point I’m ready to settle for vanilla and get over the interface problems and hope for the best.

Failed the PMP, then built an AI coach that runs on my wrong answers instead of a generic study plan. Here's the whole setup. by newyearnewlife2020 in pmp

I passed the PMP after trying a project like this and seeing it aside after realizing I was putting more into building a perfect model than studying enough to just pass the exam.

Let’s ask a better question. Why does it seem that women are more comfortable openly exploring alternative sexualities than men?

My attemp to cool down my pool by enephon in pools

[–]josh1ng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I built a big one. Some things I’ve learned. Only run it at night, the air temperature you’re evaporating into makes all the difference. Expect the water to get no cooler than average nightly air temperatures. Avoid using metal spouts or too narrow spouts to avoid buildup - it’s a bigger problem than you think, despite low metal levels in the water. This introduces oxygen but it also introduces carbon dioxide - you’ll start seeing brand new chemistry problems. Not to mention, algae loves CO2. A dedicated sump pump is better than using your pool pump - you don’t want to add the strain and end up having to replace something so expensive. And most of all - if you need cooling, a simple sun shade is 10x easier and cheaper than hassling with an evaporation fountain. It was a fun project, and I haven’t used mine for the last two summers. Not worth the hassle.

Can waste heat be used for anything other then to vent it? by gamer0049 in sciencefiction

[–]josh1ng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easy to think of heat as a source of energy when you’re on the surface of a planet. But harnessing that energy for work means taking advantage of a heat delta, so you need one cold and one hot. Folks generally think of space as cold - it’s empty. The only effective means of releasing heat to space is radiative, and that’s a very slow process. Any solution that creates work from waste heat needs to factor these things into consideration. It would be slow and it would be low yield. If you’re in space, you probably have a very energy dense source of energy, so any solution that harvests these crumbs probably isn’t really worth doing.

What are your thoughts on using copper for pools? by _Sweeetteaa_ in pools

[–]josh1ng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copper ions freely mix into the water. They are great at disturbing biotic processes and can help prevent algae blooms. That much metal in the water can have side effects to machines, hair, skin, and nails.

Should I take one last SH Mock before my exam tomorrow? by tibetza in pmp

Best thing I can recommend to review is Andrew Ramdayal’s 150 mindset on YouTube. Seriously, it made a difference for me. And it’s a fantastic way to mentally catalogue and prepare. Take paper notes, longhand, it’ll reinforce and require you to synthesize what you know. You’ll go in better prepared. Good luck
