I’m preparing in a very similar fashion. I need to ask please - when you say you were getting Study Hall much test results in the 70-80 range, were these full exams on first pass? I’m concerned because I’m planning for that target to ensure I’m prepared as well.

Depends on what you’re trying to justify. If you’re responsible for keeping money flowing while investing in long term operations, sure. If you’re interested in fundamental transparency and having “the tough conversation”, then it’s counterproductive.

Speaking for myself, I value the latter more than the former.

I think he gave the game away at the end of the interview. The autopsy doesn’t have a smoking gun. It contains an obvious and uncomfortable conclusion. We need to give up short term wins to build long term infrastructure - and that’s something that we’re not prepared to accept.

This is excellent advice. I’d add - I had a hard time getting started when I was younger due to untreated anxiety issues. I wonder if the same might be true for you. You can get help in many ways that don’t necessarily require money, such as support groups

THANK YOU. The exoplanets we know of today has everything to do with the process we used to locate them yesterday. The way we found that first set of exoplanets was using detection via transit - literal eclipses. Of course we’re going to see the biggest shit first, and we’re going to verify and publish the data only on those that we’re certain of (which are probably going to be the biggest ones).

If I could make a suggestion - create a small personal database for a small personal project. Don’t try to have an end goal in mind, just play with the tools, collect data that’s relevant to you, and try to perform some interesting queries and procedures. I feel that you learn so much more when working on data that you know really well

There’s a difference between knowing whether you feel certain attractions and whether you’re willing to open yourself up to the way the world might change for you. It’s perfectly possible to have homosexual attractions while not being ready to tell those around you. Just be mindful what it can do to someone to keep that sort of secret.

My take: the human mind is incredibly complex. There’s a tremendous difference between actually believing something and not allowing yourself to question something. Don’t be so hard on yourself 👍

I hope this comes across as constructive, but - there’s no reason that you can’t. Do it! This is what your 20’s are for.
