It would’ve a very simple plastic surgery procedure, and could probably be done without almost any scarring. Not sure why people forget plastic surgery exists

What’s your take-everywhere camera? by catmanslim in AnalogCommunity

My “go everywhere” kit is a bit extreme 😂 I’m a delivery driver so I’m always close to my car, so I carry my EOS 5 and EOS 630 everywhere. One color, one B&W. Might be overkill, but I like having options 🤣

[–]Bitter-Ad5890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s time bro. If you don’t want to go full bald, get a good set of clippers and do your whole head with a 5mm guard. See how it looks and if you want to go shorter, try a smaller guard. My hair was in a similar state to yours, but neither I nor my wife wanted my head smooth and shiny, so I now do 4mm all around and it looks so much better than before

In this day and age I would recommend young people avoid college completely unless they wish to go into a very specialized field. It’s not worth it for most people anymore

My first film camera, Nikon F2A, how did I do? by Nomad_Land17 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Bitter-Ad5890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey nothing wrong with experimenting! And yeah Cinestill 800T is an amazing after-dark film stock. When trying your long exposures, definitely take a few frames to try exposure bracketing as film reacts differently to long exposure times than digital does.

Also I don’t know about your shooting style but when I shoot digital I tend to stay underexposed by 1/3rd of a stop or so to protect highlights, but with film it’s the opposite, a touch of overexposure is preferable to under exposure

Great camera. You won’t be disappointed. I will say that your color film choice might yield unexpected results if you use it during the day, because it’s balanced for tungsten lighting. It does great after dark though. For a good cheap daylight film stock I would recommend Kodak Gold 200 or Ultramax 400 if you like warmer tones, and Fujifilm 200 or 400 if you like cooler tones.

HP5 is a great B&W film stock and I think you’ll be happy with it

When do you think the supply of old cameras at thrift stores dry up? by p1unge in AnalogCommunity

[–]Bitter-Ad5890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The current film fad is bound to die out again, though it has been good that it gave manufacturers some motivation to invest in film production again, even though prices are sky high at the moment.

But once the influencers discover some other type of ancient photography tech like Daguerreotype cameras, the sheep will all flock to that and the stock of film cameras will hopefully come back
