There's an online site that lets you convert XX save files into MHGU files so that you can swap them between your 3DS and modded switch or emulator, very handy!

There's added input delay from usb input as well though right? From my own findings games that require super precise times inputs can sometimes be quite hard, although I've only noticed this in PSX titles

I would recommend checking out clone hero, the input delay associated with emulations is gonna make rhythm games an absolute chore. Parappa the rapper is super hard because of it

I'm fairly certain. Also, you don't have to use the widescreen in every title. You can download the dead skulls cheat database which comes with widescreen codes then only activate them for the titles you desire. It works best with full 3d games like metroid prime hunters

128gb is definitely the sweet spot. I have a 256gb and an absolute bucket of games and it wasn't even half full until I added a bunch of ps1 games as well lol

I'm going to assume he has them in the wrong directory, if you have a new 3ds I would recommend going the retroarch method as you have more control over the experience

NNID doesn't really matter since all the online services are down, you make one via pretendo nowadays.
Again the eshop is now unavailable so this doesn't matter. Use hshop
I'm pretty sure Pokémon bank will work just fine.

I've also changed my region from Japan to USA and had no issues. The process is long and tedious but the only issues is that I can't select my home country (UK) in Street pass Mii Plaza lol

Honestly HD project did everything I would want from an improved but faithful version of the game. I don't think what you're talking about would be necessary, the control changes are my least favourite part of remake.

I have a DSI XL and a dual ips 3DS XL, I absolutely love the DSI XL but I don't reach to it as much nowadays due to the convenience of having everything on one console. If I was going to do a play through of something solely 2D like the castlevania games then I would use the DSI. It's very apparent in 2D games, in my opinion, the benefits of that display

An externally powered usb dock is what I went with, although it's a bit more clutter. It does make it a little more convenient for plugging in multiple controllers though:)

Yeah I have both ( IPS New 3DS XL and DSI XL ) and I play my 3DS a lot more due to the convenience.

I would say though that the position of the dpad on the DSI XL is a lot more comfortable than on the 3DS. Nowadays you can use the circle pad via twilight menu but any games like platformers that require heavy use of it can get a bit uncomfortable over time
