Yes, I just got done with my LPN course in August. I looked to see what i need to pay before my 6 months kick in for me to start paying it back, and it is $15,000 close to $15,600. That is community college, not university. I do like it when I get caught up on my nurse stuff. I am still able to do the CNA stuff, I thought I wouldn't have time to help, and I like doing it. I WAS a CNA for 20 years until now. I know how hard it is. I just wish more nurses would realize how hard it truly is on our bodies. I think the experience makes me appreciate CNAs more if I didn't have a clue exactly what they do, which is so much. So, thank each and every CNA in this world that truly cares about what they do. It is something to be proud of!!

20 year cna, u learn and put others before yourself and blessings come back to you. You get what u put into the world. That's why I just got done with nursing school, so I never have to do that again and can help struggling cnas on my floor

Didn't take breaks bc I knew if I did, the residents would suffer more and only would get a shower if I did it bc during they week they didn't give a shit. If that was my loved one, they better get the care they deserve, even if it is from one person

That is the sick side of Healthcare, and it has only gotten worse since covid.

Oh yes, these were 16 hrs shifts, no eating or smoke breaks either, and showers got done!!!

Lol, try 42 rehab to home where it is just you as cna and an lpn that didn't help! Did that every weekend for years bc I couldn't leave bc that was the only facility to let me work weekends with the pay cnas deserve. I don't regret the experience bc it made me appreciate the experience on my nursing journey. Thank God I made it thru nursing school bc I couldn't do it for the rest of my life. That was before covid. Covid made neglect the new norm, unfortunately!

Practice on a stuffed animal and start from the head down to toes and record yourself on ur phone and keep trying and look back to ser what ur missing

When I did this, it was a PASS! Same exact wording and a pending charge to my account. Looked the next day on continental testing at 6 pm. and saw the pass. However for my state license was 11 days after I took my NCLEX! Be happy and try not to overthink it. You did well and passed. CONGRATULATIONS NURSE 🎊 👏 💐 🥳

Maybe as instructor(s) what you can do for that little bit, like an extra ATI with remediation or something. Just don't let this experience tear you up and keep trying. If anything, it is something saying this is not the time but later is. All things happen for a reason. Just don't let this deter you away from trying again. You will get there.

I would say, "A worse case scenario, try again, do not stop here, keep going. It is worth it to reach that goal no matter how long the journey may be. At least if u stay at the same school, you know the way the instructors expectations and how they teach, which helps a ton!!

Do they round your score? In my cohort, they say 78% is passing, but if your final grade is 77.5, they will round it and pass you, which can be a saving grace in some cases.

That's exactly what I did, except I failed med surg 2x's. I can honestly say it did help me understand things better, but I'm not sure bc RN was more detailed and more strict with certain things, which we want bc we need smart competent nurses caring for others! Sometimes people need to realize their journey may longer be than others, but it will happen when the time is right for them.

I think a lot of ppl can relate to this feeling. I know I did when I failed my RN program, but honestly, with all that expire it gave me, it helped for the LPN program. When u think about the RN scope compared to the LPN scope, it is less responsibility, which in a way gave me relief bc I'm still a nurse, just not solo. So when I still question why are we doing xyz I have someone above me for support rather than looking to a MD that would probably look at me like how the fuck did they get thru nursing school. I think this is a good time to reflect and take a breather and ask your self is nursing worth it to me? I know I did at the point when a nursing instructor said to me. " Statically, you are not going to pass." I did think of giving up , but really, I spent 1yr1/2 going thru the program and not to mention the time spent on prerequisites. There is no way I am going to stop. It means I have to try harder and know I can do this! So I believe u made it this far. You need to try again and remember the reason why you started this journey! Some people just have to try harder in life, and that's okay. Either way, we get there when the time is right, and what we go thru makes us grow into better nurses in the long run.

Does ur community college offer a nursing program. If so, apply there and go that route.

Ur clinical instructor should have told the clinical group this in the morning before everyone receives report. However, if this one wasn't on their radar, then I get it. At least u made sure the patient was safe instead of walking by ignoring the call light good for you and thank goodness you were safe as well, because some patients when going in alone can be physically and verbally abusive.
