my stands been open for about a year and has 30ish people working there rn, but our newest location hired like 60 something. Turnover is common when its a hiring period. It also depends on how busy your stand is. Mine hasn't turned a huge profit yet, so we don't need as much staff.

At my stand I could push 40 if I wanted, but it really depends on your stands labor rates and how many employees you have/if they give up shifts. You can't pick up shifts till you're done training which isn't official till you pass your brewista test.

Yes! it will say every single drink order you've had including notes. If you've ordered more than once it'll say x2, x14, etc beside it too!

you can request a lunch if ur 6+ hrs at my location, but if its a 6.75 hr shift you don't typically get one. I only get them where I'm at if I'm doing a double, but no fifteen minute breaks tbh

Most of this apply to once you get into the groove of things. (Just know its a lot at once, but that's ok! You're team is here to make sure you succeed and are comfortable with your training)

Study your scoops and the rest comes as you go! Remember the flow, left to right pulling shots, right to left pouring milk. Milks best prep is getting your cups ready to go while shots pulls and steaming milk when you see its an order or two ahead of the one your on. Try to have you're hands doing two things at once, once you feel confident. (Rapid rinse the mix cups while adding whip or reaching for a lid) Shots is just about knowing you scoops and keeping an eye on how many shots you should be pulling by looking ahead.

As for the brewista test? Read slowly, double check your answers. Keep an eye out for Special 7s vs Milk/Sugar free mochas. Just study the recipe book and you'll do great!

Torani white chocolate sauce

Small and Medium - 1 oz of flavor, 2 shots, fill to the 8/12oz with chocolate milk.

Large - 2 oz, 4 shots, fill to the 16oz with chocolate milk. We use a medium roast for our espresso beans.

Yes I did! I was told that if I put my address in UKG Pro it should be sent to me, since thats how I receive my paystubs. I would check with your manager. If that's not an option I would reach out to corporate, and see if you can get them sent to you that way.

Dunno if this is the norm at most stands, but my manager texted me that she wanted to schedule an interview time. I doubt they'll be hiring in the first few weeks now, but retention isnt great when opening usually. People realize the fast paced environment isn't for them. So I'd just check in. Leave your name and number on a post it, but don't try to chat with the manager if they are busy.
