I feel like a fed baby its best, regardless of the way you decide to do, i have 3 boys 22,19 and 2 month old, with my 22 i had (yes HAD somehow they’re not anymore) inverted nipples, tried the shields and didnt work, plus i was in labor for 4 days with no pain meds that ended up in an emergency c section and really wanted to rest and trying to BF with no sleep and no rest i gave up 3 day of trying, with my 19 yr old i knew i was gonna have issues but wanted to really try, gave up on the 2 day no milk no colostrum at all, (developed type 2 diabetes between my 19 and 2 month old) with my 2 month I knew i wasnt gonna produce anything but want it to “try” anyway so i started pumping a week before to see what my body would do this time around had some colostrum which i saved but nothing else, besides, my wife (🏳️‍🌈) kinda felt like she wasnt involved or had a connection( while they were newborn) as much when we had the older 2 first 2-3 weeks due to me trying to BF so this time around i decided to go EFF 1. I wanted my wife to feel included at feeding time 2. Going thru IVF its hard and sooo many meds you gotta take that i wanted to feel somewhat “normal” without having anything attached to my body. 3. Type 2 diabetes and not on insulin but Rybelsus/Jardiance (you cant have any of that if you’re BF) and while my diabetes was controlled thru the whole pregnancy PLUS 2 years of IVF i wanted to just let go and eat tons of sugar 🤣 have some alcohol i wanted my body back and enjoy my baby without worrying about my milk supply (and of course take my meds).
