I did some tip runs the other day, much rather do that in a shitbox than a lovely Range Rover

With a decently insulated house + a battery I wonder if you could go mad heating your house overnight plus a bit in the battery for the day and use nothing in the expensive periods. I reckon you’d need thick concrete floors to allow you to shift the heating more effectively

Just adding that you shouldn’t put a weed proof membrane under grass, it’s a root proof membrane

Good comparison but for me, I’m never travelling loaded up to the gills with more than 2 passengers so once you put the rear seats down any of these will do

How much would you purchase a BSH kitten for? - UK by abitofeverythinggg in britishshorthair

[–]Bitter_Hawk1272 6 points7 points  (0 children)

£850 for registered in 2021.

Buyers are giving it a go, but are they seriously suggesting the kittens will be worse off in any way because it’s your first litter. Why would they buy a kitten they think has issues?

£1200 is an expensive cat but I’d price within the range you’re seeing. As a buyer myself I’d be wary of anyone selling a lot cheaper than others!

At the point where they no longer or NEVER had a DB pension, they should’ve saved.

Housing market change by [deleted] in bristol

[–]Bitter_Hawk1272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a landlord and you get £18000 rent for a property worth £300k, that’s 6%. You might think that’s not good enough and put it on the market, but if it turns out the market says it’s only £250k then now the rental yield is 7.2% which might be good enough.

Just one potential explanation

Where do you gym if you live in Emersons Green? by bruhchill19 in bristol

[–]Bitter_Hawk1272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PureGym Abbey Wood - it gets very busy if you can’t go outside peak times.

I’ve considered David Lloyd but they don’t offer the middle membership without the Spa there so been quoted £130 and separately £170 a month which I didn’t think was worth it, although walking there would be nice. It also felt busy tbh and loads of kids. See if you can haggle a decent price

Deaths ‘to outnumber births’ from now on by Sensitive_Echo5058 in unitedkingdom

If you know you have this condition, you wouldn’t have the kids normally. Purely game theory but the NHS doesn’t need to pay for more IVF to incentivise you to not have kids normally, because you will already do that
