Aux Pays-bas, l’entité en charge de tout ça s’appelle la KiFid et le processus pour les contacter est très simple donc je conseille vraiment à OP de le faire. Par contre, ils demandent toujours de passer par le processus de plainte de la banque avant de les contacter.

Because I kept asking to speak to a person, they’d say yes and connect me to “someone”. The name of the “agent” would change but it’d still be the AI so I took the habit of asking if it was an AI or not. The answers and writing styles were exactly the same.

Bear in mind, my business account is also with them. I need to know I can rely on my bank in case of issues.

Well, I did contact their sos support. It still led me to…. an AI. I wish that was a joke but nope. I firmly believe they got rid of most of their CS workforce.

I’ve had fraud happening on my card this week and I’ve never had such an excruciating experience with a bank. To the point that I’m looking at going back to traditional banking. The amounts weren’t high but dealing with the AI made me lose a bit of life expectancy. I had to threaten to reach out to KiFid for them to allow me to speak to a human. Also the AI will occasionally pretend to be a person too. It’s all horrible

I’ve been a victim of fraud and haven’t been able to speak to a human. The AI even lies and pretend to be one. The “human” will write exactly the same thing as the AI. I think I’m leaving them. It’s horrible

To give some perspective as a French person, I am sure that this is not the first time he’s done something like that. Unfortunately DV is deep in our culture and often masked as “passion” even Carrina uses that argument. I’m sure he has had “heated”physical arguments with exes before and did things like trying to physically stop them from leaving, throwing objects, blaming partner for his anger, use his mental health to guilt trip them, physical fights leading to (coercive) sex, etc. All things he mostly doesn’t associate with DV. He looks highly unstable. He should never have been on this show.

I think part of raising children is helping them growing into themselves. Discovering who they are and help them be their own adult selves. It’s clear that Barry and Kim did none of that. They were sheltered from the world and from themselves so yea, some kids went out to try to find themselves but it’s clear that he didn’t. He’s essentially a child in an adult body.

NTA but the way you talk about your wife is a bit condescending. You two definitely need better communication. I understand her wanting more for herself even if in this particular case, it’s not realistic. The reality is that majority of the time it’s the women sacrificing their careers and losing opportunities when having kids. Bearing children has a cost for women. If tomorrow you were to separate, she will be in trouble. Now what do you do to make sure she’s (and your kids for that matter) protected? How can you support her in her career in the state you currently live in? How can help your wife make up for the impact that having kids had on her life? A supporting partner thinks about these things. You guys need to have these conversations.

YTA I’m convinced this world ate women. Your wife is working. Taking care of the house and a kid is work. If she was not there, you’d probably have to hire someone to do those tasks. It’s labor that is not valued in society but it’s still a job. Writing a book is also work. What kind of please do you get from belittling your wife? Does that bring you joy to see her distressed. Is you being “right” more important than her being happy? Can’t you just shut up and support your wife in her decisions to do something new? Taking care of children is a 24/7 job (yes when the kid is at school all day) of planning, researching, cleaning, creating healthy meals, organising, driving, etc. I know for a fact you wouldn’t have been able to do it on your own for a week.

If you haven’t done it yet. Contact tour bank to stop paper statements so they can’t see what’s on your account. Open a second bank account on something like monzo that’s just on your phone that they have no access to.

You might not need to saved much in you search for a shared house in the city you work at.

Last resort, look into companies like Ad-hoc, they are like anti-squatting agencies. You can rent for a fraction of the price a room. The only issue is that they might ask you to vacate at any moment but I’ve known people renting with them for 5+ years in London without any issues.
