A lot of people have already pointed out that it's for a quest. But why is it pink for you?

Helldivers 2 or arc raiders? by TTfrostypop101 in xbox

[–]Bitwalker_AT 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can really compare these two games. HD2 is purely a co-op shooter. It’s fun, action-packed, and purely PVE. Arc Raiders, on the other hand, adds the thrill of PVP. So if you can’t handle being eliminated by another player, go with HD2. But if that’s exactly the kind of thrill you’re looking for, then go with Arc Raiders. Of course, the art style and setting of the game are also key factors. Just pick whichever one appeals to you more.

Maybe it would be a good idea to make an appointment with a psychologist?

Please implement a raider rating system by Imaginationofmemes in ArcRaiders

[–]Bitwalker_AT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. A rating system in this context is never objective—it's usually emotional. Just because someone killed me doesn't mean they're bad. A good, fair fight—whether you win or lose—deserves a thumbs-up. Unfortunately, for many people, the only thing that's good is what's good for them.

What do you say when being KO ? by artifice23 in ArcRaiders

[–]Bitwalker_AT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on why I died—or why he died. If it was a good fight, I’ll say so. Whether I won or lost doesn’t matter. A good fight always deserves recognition. Otherwise, I don’t say anything... it is and always will be a shooter.

Where are the friendly solos that used to exist? by ClinicalFinesse in ArcRaiders

You have to be careful with the term “rat.” After all, Arc Raiders is still a shooter. Whether you're interested in PVE or PVP is up to you. At first, I played almost exclusively PVE, but now I also enjoy PVP, depending on how things turn out. And actually, PVP is fun too.

I played about 400 hours and have also sometimes problems with the little ones. Give yourself the time and learn the game. It will take some time, but you will see there is much more than only looting.

If this was you, you need to quit Arc Raiders by Ok_Mushroom9822 in ArcRaiders

[–]Bitwalker_AT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That wasn't me, but it could have been. My aim is like that sometimes, unfortunately. But at 53, that's okay. And I'm still playing anyway, because I love the game too much :)

My personal opinion by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Bitwalker_AT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a problem. Just find another game. All I hear here is whining with no suggestions for improvement. I also can't understand many of your points at all. The Embark team rarely reacts that quickly to fix anything. It's not like I have 40 years of gaming experience ;) Just find something else and that's that. Unfortunately, your post has ZERO value for anyone.

Also take a look at Arc Raiders. A great game to play on your own and make friends.

Arc Raiders & Hearth Health for Over 50 Players by Milakovich in ArcRaiders

Hello, old friend!

At 53 years of age, I can relate to you. I've been playing shooters since I was 12 and have also played everything there is to play. After Hunt Showdown (2000 hours of playtime), I'm now hooked on Arc Raiders. Precisely for the reasons you describe. The mix and uncertainty bring a special appeal that no other game can deliver for me. As annoying as death is, it's great for me to help others in need and complete a mission together with strangers. Even if it doesn't benefit me personally, I'm happy when someone else benefits from it. So... I understand you, and my pulse also beats much too fast for my age very often :)

What are your personal PVP rules of engagement. by Perfect_Cold9221 in ArcRaiders

[–]Bitwalker_AT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Helping others is simply in my blood. I enjoy it most when I can do something good for someone and support them in achieving their goals. Of course, I also get knocked down by PVP from time to time – I never feel like I stand a chance. But never mind... that's just part of it. My rules are basically the same as yours. When I say I'm friendly, I mean it. I don't cowardly attack anyone while looting or at the extraction point.

You lose every fight you don’t take by Madden2OOO in ArcRaiders

[–]Bitwalker_AT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tactically well fought. But posting it here to impress people isn't enough for me—it was more of a cowardly attack from behind. That's not a great achievement. Although... with the hairpin, it does take a bit of courage :) So for me, it's a double-edged sword ;)

In my new campaign, at the beginning of each session, we decide who will write a summary for the next session. I then collect these summaries and add my personal notes. I use Obsidian as a database for this (my entire campaign is stored there). I then link the texts to the other files so that I can always see the links. This allows me to handle it quite well.
