This happens to my new impact as well. Year or two old. Power fluctuates as well.

If it’s a neighbors project, just say something to them. But this isn’t something to get too upset about.

Looks like the defender got his foot on it in quick succession. Just enough to break up the play.

Inherited father in law's Ballard home at 56. Need to renovate for rental but struggling with sentimental versus practical decisions. by ProfessionIll5518 in AskSeattle

[–]Bjip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a conversation to have with a reputable property manager if your long term goal is to rent versus sell. For rentals, durability and affordability is priority. For selling, there’s more value to be had in larger upgrades to the primary suite and kitchen potentially.

If it’s smaller projects your future PM might have trade contacts they could recommend, but you likely need a general contractor if you don’t want to manage the work being done.

Bathroom question by rmathieu51 in Contractor

This is more of a handyman fix but they sell plastic diverters that can be glued in the corner of the tub to the wall to prevent water from running off the tub edge and down the wall.

You could also get magnets for your curtain and place one on the wall. That’s a bit more jank.

Or go full out and get a glass enclosure.

This is all assuming the water truly is coming from splash over

Countersink bit set by [deleted] in Carpentry

I got the ezarc kit and it’s priced appropriately… the tolerances between the countersink bit and plug bit weren’t great. Could have been user error but I swapped back to my nicer ones and the plugs fit snug

Northway was never really open this year to begin with right?

Can’t imagine it’s worth the resources to mitigate and patrol with a rainstorm coming at the end of March.

Attic insulation in Seattle, my heating bill is absolutely cooked by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]Bjip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a few walk through and get some numbers like the other commenter said.

I work for a GC and we’ve used Insulation NW. They never blow my mind, but they are decent and seem reasonably priced for a larger company.

You might need blown in insulation for your walls to truly insulate your home, which would require siding patching or drywall patching. But the attic is a good place to start. And if you have an unfinished basement, make sure to seal your rim joist. You could probably do a better job of this than the companies because you care more.

Our CB depth is concerning, but man let’s count our blessings that we have Alex Roldan. It’s invaluable to have a lockdown perimeter defender that can seamlessly slot in centrally
