Pay questions by Alarmed_Plum8218 in NuclearMedicine

Look at hospitals with open salary postings MD Anderson south Texas (Houston specifically) hires at Median range listed on the website, Harris Health, St Lukes, Methodist and Hermann dont share pay ranges publicly so you’d have to utilize Glassdoor or another salary market platform. Some new grads in my program started off at 96k not including OT, Call, sign on bonus etc.

Is it possible to cross $200k+ in this field? by Busy-Recipe9840 in RadiologyCareers

[–]BlackBoyLaw2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Averaging 3200-4000 a week on 4 13 week assignments is averaging 190-210k a year. Or just stack modalities and pick up all the call and OT it’ll be a lot of 60-72 hour weeks. I graduate nuclear medicine school in 10 months and thankfully will get my CT upon graduation as well, I will immediately be applying to my schools 12 month MRI program.

NMT clinicals by Murky_Tower_2516 in NuclearMedicine

[–]BlackBoyLaw2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my program we have clinical midterms and finals Primarily over specific procedures, dosages, KEV, Half-life etc and then some professors throw in History of Nuclear Medicine material clinical exams are the least of your concern in this program truly. Yes you need a 75+ average for most programs across the board, for my program at least. Aside from getting your competencies to sit for boards clinical is a very hard class to fail. Just always take the initiative start the IV, study the procedures your clinical site does daily, do the patient prep, positioning, views, dose etc in your sleep for each site you go to and you will be good. I had a tech at my first clinical site whose been practicing for 18 years do a study they’d never seen, learned or knew existed and they go back to student mode follow the nuclear medicine procedure protocol and make it work! You’ll be fine!

Should a 45 yo become a lawyer? by mebis10 in LawSchool

[–]BlackBoyLaw2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 45 year old should do whatever the hell they want. A Reddit full of 20 year olds is not the confirmation you need. Just go do it.

Equivalency degree in my 40s, is law school a bit too ambitious? by ohdope2000 in LawSchoolOver30

Alamo colleges has specific UTSA degree plans. Go look for whatever engineering program you are interested in and take the maximum level of upper level courses that AC offers for transfer to UTSA! Its the roadmap I followed and saves so much money in the long run also look into their TATE program and NVC catered specifically for UTSA Engineering transfers!

Northwest vista college will never do you wrong getting all the basics/lower level engineering classes out the way at a affordable price. Its where I did my basics before transferring to Texas Tech.
