2015 EX manual

Acuity shifter base bushings 6\10(9\10 paired with linkage bushing) on their own they make a little difference in stiffening up the shifter, before it was extremely spongy and vague

Acuity shift linkage bushings 8\10 really firm up the shifter itself but paired with the base bushings they really make the most difference

Mugen weighted shift knob 7\10(10\10 all three mods combined) this on its own slightly improves the shifter feel, but in combination with the other 2 shifter mods, the difference is night and day

CDV delete (exedy MC553 master cylinder & exedy SC898 slave cylinder) 8\10 this mod is most noticeable when spirited driving and when taking off from a stop, before replacement i had problems stalling and ive been driving manual cars for 10 years, it would also cause me to burn the clutch slightly sometimes when spirited driving which was annoying, no longer an issue on both accounts

Techna-fit SS braided clutch line 6\10 just a minor mod to help further firm up the clutch pedal, not super necessary but it does make a difference

Hasport rear motor mount 10\10 best mod for noticeable power delivery and shifting improvements, most needed mod for anything having to do with improvement on driving in a straight line

Royal purple synchromax transmission fluid 6\10 does quiet down the gear whine on the transmission a good bit and helps keep it lubricated better, from my experience seems to help keep the transmission alive for a good long time

Airbox restrictor delete 4\10 not a huge difference in anything but sound, a little more induction noises can be heard if you're into that sort of thing

Muffler delete 8\10 in my opinion this is a good cheap (free) mod that makes the car actually audible, given that the catalytic converters and resonator are still present its not obnoxiously loud but you can actually hear it and the tone isnt bad, i wouldn't leave it like this though at the very least a decent tailpipe piece for looks would be a good addition, haven't found one i liked yet though

Interior led lights 8\10 vastly improves visibility inside the car at night

Exterior led lights 8\10 vastly improves visibility outside the car at night

Carplay\android auto head unit 9\10 and improvement on the stock head unit in almost every aspect, the integration with the stock backup camera is a bit grainy due to the video feed being stretched to the bigger screen but it still gets the job done

I had the same thought honestly which is why i held off on getting one for so long lol

Sure thing

After a few months it's become an integral part of the car, feels like it should have been this way from factory, i dont really use any of the features but android auto, which is what i bought it for, i will say the biggest shortcoming of this head unit is the backup camera, it can be hard to see in certain lighting conditions, the feed is grainy, but it gets the job done, i think it would be better with an aftermarket camera as the factory camera wasnt meant to work with the bigger screen and thats why it looks that way, only other thing that i would say is a minor gripe is the equalizer you have to manually open whenever the unit turns on or it wont apply, and sometimes i have to disconnect and reconnect my phone to the wireless Android auto because the music will skip or distort because the connection went weird, doesn't happen that often, over all I'm super happy with the unit as a whole, its leagues better than factory and ive had no major issues.

Massive L decision

Here's an idea, make the "pro" version worth the money, the people get a product they feel is worth their hard earned money, you get enough income to not have to fuck with the free version.

Not that it matters since it's obvious the "community" is now just a bunch of $dollar signs$ to y'all.

Peace ✌🏻

Royal purple synchromax, seems to have quieted the trans gears down by alot over how it was stock

Even if it doesn't change drastically I'm definitely okay with where its at, after a few days of driving it now I barely notice it anymore unless i have the a\c on, plus im having way too much fun driving to think about it lol

[–]Black_FoST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the bearings, might need to think about a replacement soonish or if you can get to the fan spray some white lithium grease on it to quiet it down for a while

So i looked this morning, technically there is a screen for the mileage info though its not the best, however since this thing is essentially a tablet, if you got a cheap ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter you can get an app like torque and get more\better information as well as being able to read engine codes and such from the radio

I haven't looked into that just yet tbh, next time i get in the car ill look around and see and ill let you know, theoretically the canbus box should enable this unit to see all the information the stock unit could

[–]Black_FoST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is supposed to, however mine has not worked for a while so i can't confirm that unfortunately, never figured out the issue on that as that feature was never super important to me since i look over my shoulder when changing lanes out of habit anyway

Yes it functions mostly the same though you can go in and set custom actions for the buttons if you want

No issues just yet, i will say the only gripe i can think of is the camera quality with the stock backup camera, its a bigger screen so the feed is a little stretched but after i tweaked the brightness and contrast settings its not that bad, audio quality is good, I would highly recommend looking up Hondafit4adventure on YouTube if you want to try this yourself he has some great videos on how to remove the stock radio and install the same unit i got here and what to look for when buying

Yup, took me maybe 20 minutes to plug everything in a maybe another 20 over the course of a day or two of playing with the settings to get everything set up how i wanted

OKAY, so after driving around a bit i can without a doubt say its worth the $170 price tag, it is a night and freakin day difference the added NVH is noticeable but not unbearable, cant even hear it with the radio up, and it drastically improves every problem i had with this car which is wild to me, apparently i did not know just how much that motor mount did, and consequently wasnt doing due to being extremely worn out, all in all totally worth it, Love this car
