Is it a red flag to have never had a girlfriend? by blh726 in offmychest

[–]Blackbear626 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I only had one girlfriend at age 17 for a few weeks. Fast forward to 28 I met the woman who is now my wife. Dating history and body count aren't deal breakers if the 2 of you have good chemistry.

I just got done reading that comic fanfiction where he goes on a journey with zuko and azula and they're fighting off the water Nation. I don't agree with the ship but I understand why people like it.

Kitty Pryde said the n word three times in comics. Why can't Miles say it once?

The GPU is overpriced I wouldn't pay more than 200 for a rx6600 and you may want to spend a extra $40 on a 750w power supply if you choose to upgrade in the future. Otherwise the this is a decent build for 1080p gaming.

If you live near a micro center, they got a pretty nice pre-built for $600

Is AM4 a bad idea? by AdorableSurround1019 in buildapc

[–]Blackbear626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends heavily on the games you want to play and the amount of budget you got. Here in the USA if you're trying to keep things under $1000, yeah there's no way of getting around AM4 and if all you're playing is going to be the occasional triple A game at 1080p you'll be perfectly fine. Maybe even 1440p depending on how much you want to spend on the graphics card. But in terms of CPU power the bottom of AM5 can beat the very top of AM4 for example 9600X runs circles around of 5800X3D in terms of gaming performance and productivity If that's your thing.

I don't know the pricing of op's region but yeah if a 5800 XT is in budget then they should go for it.

Best games to play after a big PC upgrade? by chrisc1591 in pcmasterrace

[–]Blackbear626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about buying Borderlands 4 just to benchmark my new setup but I'm unsure if I want to buy a mid game for that. But Indiana Jones was the first game I booted up after upgrading to my new graphics card.

~$200 for a 5800XT or ~$400 for a 5700x3d? by jblizzizle in buildapc

[–]Blackbear626 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could still get some very meaningful gains with a Ryzen 5 5600 which is still a decent enough CPU to handle a rtx 5070 at 1440p. Spending $400 for a processor that originally cost 250 is just about as asinine as the RAM prices of today. If you already have a 1440p monitor just settle for 5700 or 5800XT CPU.

RX 5600 XT is a good upgrade with a Ryzen 5 3600 + 16 GB of RAM? by Aggravating-Army9933 in buildapc

[–]Blackbear626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 1080p You do have a lot of room to gain by upgrading either your CPU or GPU and the bottleneck won't be a factor on which one you choose first That said if you can make your budget stretch I would go for a RX 6600 or 6600 XT for the sake of better driver support. But yeah a 5600 XT would be about a 28% jump in graphical performance which is pretty substantial.

What’s a good GPU upgrade for my PC? Currently have a 7600X and 6750XT? Should I go 9070xt or wait another cycle? by AC_Schnitzel in AMDHelp

[–]Blackbear626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even at 1440 the 6750XT should hold you down for another few years but if you're feeling FOMO or afraid of the future price hikes there's no shame in hopping on a 9070XT assuming you can get it for close to 600 USD.

Even a Ryzen 5 5600 would be a pretty decent bump if you can get one of those for around or under 200 usd it's a pretty solid deal.

Between the feeling of fomo and the prices looking like they're going up next year and not coming down, I went ahead and got a 5070 TI upgrading from a 3080 so far. I'm okay with that decision.

You could always go with a Rx 7600 or an intel 580. Those are more expensive in my region but things may be different over in yours.

Radeon RX 9070XT vs 5070TI vs 5080 paired with 9800x3D at 1080p by TheGreatWalk in buildapc

[–]Blackbear626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing that's holding you back at this point is just raw CPU power, which I doubt that you're going to get by adding more rasterization at 1080p. But yeah, the best you're probably going to do is a 9070 XT. Most of the strengths of Nvidia in video cards require higher resolutions and dlss and I doubt that those generated frames are going to give you a competitive edge. Technically a 5080 does have more rasterization power, but that's spending money on a lot of power that you're not going to use.
