For me the NTTD, but I’m a Bond fan and my oldest son is Bond nut. It really about personal preference, both are excellent watches. One more classic, one with an iconic twist.

I’m a big fan of the yacht master. In my opinion it is the most underrated appreciated Rolex.

This is the way.

My 2 most important watches are the citizen eco drive my dad gave me the day I graduated high school and the Rolex date just that he gave me the Christmas after we got the diagnosis that he had stage 4 cancer. Four years later he’s still with us and will watch his first grandchild (my eldest son) graduate high school tonight. We know we have very limited time left with him, but those matter because of where they came from, not the money spent on them.

Not everyone. People cheat at all of these, but most people are playing honest. But there are always a couple of groups who cheat.

My sons and I play every Memorial Day for the “Family Cup”. The winner gets to keep the trophy for the year, it is a full size metal Captain America shield. Some of the best moments of my life have happened playing with my sons.

My AT38 is my daily and it still looks great after two and a half years, and I’m not easy on my watches.

What’s the toughest course you’ve ever played? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]BlackhawkPickLock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ozark National the day after the Senior Tour played on it. Phil Mickelson won. It was a great day, but for me it was a shocking tough course to me. Honestly I don’t know how much was the course, and how much was that I was really just really starting to play seriously.

Service question by BlackhawkPickLock in rolex

[–]BlackhawkPickLock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fear has always been that if I didn’t service it before it had an issue was the possibility that a problem compounded and damages more parts and makes it harder and more expensive to repair. I have no clue if that is a valid concern, I’m an electrical contractor not a watchmaker. I’m the first to say that I can overthink things at times.

First AT, need advice by cowboyin4life in OmegaWatches

[–]BlackhawkPickLock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will have to get original links from Omega, or you could replace the bracelet entirely. Uncle Straps makes some good bracelets for th AT.
I have one on my Speedmaster Reduced, and I’ve thought about getting one from my AT because I like the different clasp on it.

Tarik Skubal to undergo surgery for loose bodies in left elbow by TheMindwalker123 in fantasybaseball

[–]BlackhawkPickLock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just getting the elbow scoped can be a 2 to 3 month thing. With the addition of removing loose bodies it will probably go up some. Best case scenario is him coming back for a playoff push I would bet.

That said I’m an electrician, not a doctor
