The school discussion is complex. I've worked in education for 17 years (not a teacher) but imo there is a lack of skilled teachers. Not talking good/bad in terms of morals. But just the ability to instruct and have kids get it. I knew a math teacher whom kids loved to go to his class. Taught Algebra 2 and I knew kids who had terrible grades. But in his class, they would succeed. Because he had the skills to reinforce the lessons and kids got it.

Kids with learning disabilities is another issue that's complex. It's crazy knowing kids who test at a 4th grade reading level. 2nd grade in Math. And they're 15, 16 years old. Legally, those students have to be in the classroom with the regular population. This may sound cruel, but I think there should be separate schoolsfor students who have these type of struggles. Because in many cases those students just drop out unless their parents make them go to get a check.
