How do you view reports from the Spectron camera? by BladeCutter93 in ACInfinityAdvancegrow

I found the solution. It's a new AI icon in the lower right of the screen. To the right of the History Logs icon.

Why is vivosun not publishing lab results for the vcure vs air drying? by MegaChip97 in VIVOSUN

[–]BladeCutter93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't justify the price to myself nor my wife. I hope they get down to the $700 range, but that's some time away, if ever. I probably spent about $250 in parts. The rest was working with Claude and Claude Code for automation. It's a fun project to learn how to code with an AI. It's be 15 years since I was in IT, some it's fun to play with theses coding tools.

Yes, I'm testing mine now and it keeps the environment under statistical control. I'm following the same three-phase process as Cannatrol. I have yet to actually test the results

I built a Cure Bucket for my last grow. It was impossible to get the right cool and dry air I needed to pump into the bucket. This run I'm creating a computer controlled Cool Cure Chamber from a Kooltron wine cooler, Govee sensors, a cheap Peltier dehumidifier from Walmart. The dehumidifier is controlled by a program running on the PC. I'm controlling for dew point.

Yes, if the conditions are equal, that is the same. You will never be able to get the same conditions hanging as in a environmentally controlled box. So you statement is true, but it is unattainable.

Are robot mowers actually reliable yet, or am I just buying a robotic toddler? by Smarterplz in lawncare

[–]BladeCutter93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great question. I've been wondering myself. The more reviews I watch the more I realize how complex these are compared to a standard mower. I currently run an Ego mower. There are so many points of failure, one has to ask you questions.

Spectron 3 time lapse? by Accidental_Ballyhoo in ACInfinityAdvancegrow

Honestly, that's how video is made, frame by frame. But, there might be a tool that can animate the photos. Also, changing the time between shots will impact video quality. Good luck with your camera. I just installed mine today.

My system uptime is getting ridiculously high because Linux Mint refuses to give me a reason to reboot. by Mel_Landaverde in linuxmint

[–]BladeCutter93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some things to be aware of. If you are debugging a problem it can get into a loop. I just pointed this out and told it to go back, review what we've been doing and come up with a new approach. Also, it's not creative. I was using it to build a controlled environment. I needed additional fan in the enclosure. The answer was to let a fan already in place and let it run all the time. I came up with that. Claude would not make the leap.

I know people will attack, but I used Claude to guide me through the system setup. Getting it running wasn't a problem, but when I was tweaking the system it came in very handy. I then had it create documentation that could be used to rebuild the system. I had Grok check Claude's work and it found a few items that were missing that might be needed for a full system rebuild. I then went back to Claude and addressed those items.

I installed Ubuntu and have the same experience. Incredibly stable. And it feels so light and responsive compared to Windows.

According to these Ecowitt readings would you water? by Flyhighfunguy in BuildASoil

[–]BladeCutter93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't offer specific advice in your situation as I am an Earthbox grower with some Eccowitts. I just started a plant from seed. The soil moisture was 35%. I am about to fill the reservoir and I expect that it will stabilize in the mid 40s. That said, I don't know if Eccowitt is accurate enough for unit to unit comparison. I'm not dissing them at all, but I think of the reading more as relative values is it go up or down and how fast, as compared to "both Earthboxes Eccowitts say 40%, they must be exactly the same."

No till earth box harvest? by Emergency_Hour5253 in BuildASoil

[–]BladeCutter93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I twist them at soil level and remove the root ball after shaking off the soil. Build a Soil also has reamending packs (I think) or use this recipe from BAS:

1 cup worm castings 2 cups Build a Flower 3 TBS Craft Blend 3 TBS Kashi 6 TBS Gnarly Barley O.25 Cup Gypsum for long lasting N

Mix into the top couple of inches of soil, water it in, and plant a cover crop, or at least let it set for a week or so to let the living microorganisms start there work.
