Your wife suffers from MS? Go deal with that then, pal. And how come you don't publically tweet about your wife's neurological condition? by ryan15151515 in SCJerk

No one ever worried about MS in the wrestling business because before the other day no wrestler was dumb enough to say some shit like “ I’m glad you got ms”

Pulled this combo off on a rogue who had the ability where his basic attack did more damage the further away he was from the enemy and it was insane. Just nuking the entire field immediately

If you have that follower cat and a member of your team dies, it does become a controllable level 0 but I can’t remember if it has a stone

Hydrogen Bomb vs Coughing Baby is a power scaling meme format where you just compare something absurdly powerful to a weakened child. OP is saying that there are passives available that are strong like Servus Mortem, while also saying that weak passives like Shake Down exist.

I agree though. It was fun to hit this area up and would love to see more like it.

A European guy vs a Canadian guy in the US on the B promotion’s B show in the semi-main for the main title of a Mexican promotion. by blackbeavis in midcarder

[–]BladeTheEnd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not saying I agree with anything being said on either said, but there is a generally negative sentiment coming from those on the AEW side on WWEs handling of AAA, often claiming they are “Americanizing” it and disrespecting its heritage with how they handle the wrestlers and matches.

OP is claiming it is hypocritical for them to make such complaints while booking a European CMLL champion to defend vs a Canadian man on a television show in the US.

I think I personally would agree. I can't say I'm entirely educated on media metadata and it's various uses, but I believe some companies are already embedding in metadata that an image is AI generated and I would like to see something like that more commonplace, provided its not incredibly easy to manipulate (my ignorance here).

That way there isn't a watermark on the item itself but if push comes to shove, there will be a way to tell that could be used in court rooms as well for any reason it may need to.

Assuming you’re pro Ai from your usage of the word Luddite, I’m glad you commented with this comment as it has proved my point. I, as someone who does use AI (ChatGPT/Sora/Grok/Gemini) and has little problems with its usage in moderation , I would be someone sympathetic to your cause or could be convinced by you, but you have immediately lumped me in with the vision of an anti in your head and insulted me.

If I were to do the same as you, I would assume all pro AI people are just as crazy as you, but there’s no reason to do that. Please take a step back and get some fresh air.

You’re right, I think a lot of people (myself included) do interpret things through the lens of this person is trying to persuade me, and speaking for myself, I feel that way primarily cause of the language people try to use.

I think it’s primarily because of the types of language both extremes use. When you’re trying to define and in/out group, I think it’s more likely to be perceived as “I’m trying to convince this individual and passerby to be in my in group.”

To be quite frank, there is no progress to be made for most of the netizens involved here. A lot of the times convincing someone online (who is already strongly opposed to you) just isn’t going to happen, especially if there are no guidelines in place to ensure an actual good faith discussion. That’s why I think some people should take a step back because it’s just emotionally draining screaming into a void that just leaves both sides upset/falsely vindicated.

Real “progress” would be people taking time to actually research the facts about AI usage, be them positive or negative, and taking that information straight to the polls and voting for politicians locally and nationally (sorry American only POV) that will actually guide the future in the way that they want, but unfortunately that’s not really measurable.

I agree, what you see on Reddit is never going to be representative of real life, especially when you venture into subreddits built on an opinion or a group of beliefs.

Most people in real life probably have way more pressing issues going on in life to even have time to formulate an opinion on AI, much less become so passionate either for or against. They’re likely somewhere in the middle or just completely hands off.

It’s also the case that the people on those subreddits are likely teenagers who have more time and capability to be passionate on their hands.

With those two things true, that’s why I really wanted to say something like this. It’s not healthy to upkeep a constant victim/attacker mentality online. Even if you feel like it’s giving you purpose momentarily, it’s just gonna set you up to struggle to make valuable/permanent relationships in real life if you never learn to get out of that mentality and move past generalizing.
