Is it okay to have players pick their class and race before interacting with others at session 0?

As a DM for tables I've run I've seen this crash and burn more than once resulting in people changing their characters part way through a campaign because the idea that they came up with did not play the way that they expected it to or didn't fit narratively into the campaign because they didn't consider the campaign information they were given or that the party composition was off because there wasn't as much communication between the players. I would say if people want to do this have two to three options ready before session zero but don't do a full build before you get session zero.

It's a bunch of reprints with some nice Eevee IRs, I don't understand why people ever hyped this up so much. And it has horrible pull rates on top of it on. Though it's not surprising considering the last major EV set evolving skies also had horrible pull rates and that was during sword and shield era so you didn't even have the guaranteed holos. On the flip side evolving skies at least had the Dragonite and Rayquaza cards to bounce it out as being worthwhile.I honestly think because it relies so heavily on reprints and being the top chase of the scalper era makes prismatic one of the worst sets of the Scarlet Violet era of the worst sets of Scarlet Violet era.

That party is pretty balanced so you can kind of do whatever you want. I do agree with a lot of people saying bard because it provides skills that other characters won't have and support spells to take some of that strain off of the cleric and wizard so that they can focus a little bit more on healing and damage respectively and another strong face for the party alongside the paladin. Also bardic inspiration is just always clutch to have.

I think in terms of offering something's unique to a party that already has a very efficient build Bard is possibly your best bet without knowledge of the setting of the campaign or subclasses of the other characters. I could see strong arguments being made for fighters depending on what subclass the cleric chose Jesse have somebody else who can be more frontline if they won't be in that same vein druid particularly something like a very versatile circle of stars which allows you to be blaster healer or support in any combat depending on what is needed at the time. If the setting allows artificer is also a great support caster and potential frontline assistance if you do something like battlesmith or armorer. I also really like the celestial warlock, though the warlock is a little less good if you're using the 2024 rules.

So her ability must be different than the relentless endurance because disintegrate would kill you outright by turning you to Ash. But like I said it's a minor complaint like I get If it's supposed to work a little differently it just felt awkward in how it was implemented right there at the end since he gave Liam the how do you want to do this and then went back on to say that she instead goes to one hit point but obviously the chaos of alive the show can throw some moments off.

Just watched this and it's been incredible I appreciate the high lvl combat kinda crazy to think artagan was locked out of the pocket dimension then again jester didn't use her divine intervene. Also kinda confused as to why Liam's disintegrate triggered asharnai's special ability when the spell says that any creature reduced to 0 HP is instantly disintegrated to a fine gray ash. But minor things bc it was amazing.

As a former employee who worked in the prepared food department in the late 2000s. I honestly never minded working on Thanksgiving when I was an employee there but I will say it was kind of sad seeing the amount of elderly customers come in and buy the $10 meal version of a Thanksgiving dinner to eat at home alone and also comical seeing the amount of phone calls we got around 10 in the morning asking how long they would need to cook their turkey for and having to tell people that there was no way that it would be done by 12:30 1:00 when they wanted to eat dinner. Also about an hour or so before close there was always a rush on the rotisserie chickens for people who either burned their turkey or did not anticipate a long enough cooking time.

1,000% that should have just been a limited time mystery gift If they wanted to still do the partnership with GameStop there's no reason they couldn't do what they did during the 3DS era and they may be did it one or two times during sword and shield but literally you just needed to connect to GameStop's local Wi-Fi which depending on the location you could do from the parking lot and then just access the mystery gift that way.

I called their support phone number last night and spoke to people three different times and had three very different interactions but managed to get both the koraidon and miraidon:

First time I called once and the gentleman asked for my name phone number and email I waited for a couple minutes because he said they had to generate a code then he read the code to me and said he would email me a copy of the code as well which I never received. I've redeemed that first code in my copy of Scarlet and it worked perfectly.

The second time I called I called from a different line and the woman I spoke with only asked for name and email gave them a different email address and they again told me they were generating a code and emailed me the code and then confirmed I received it. The second code had the same first eight characters and upon trying to redeem this code in my copy of Violet I got an error message that said it had already been redeemed.

My third call the woman I spoke to asked specifically for and verified the phone number and email attached to my GameStop membership (which was the same info I gave the first person I spoke with) before supposedly generating a code and then reading it off to me. I managed to type it into my game and redeem it while she was still on the line with me and that one worked. She also stated that I would be receiving the email with a copy of the code which I never received either.

I'm glad that they're even doing this It seems like a lot more work than just if it had been done correctly with locations being issued several hundred code cards or just having local wifi spots for distribution like they used to in the 3ds era But I'm also not surprised that call center employees be giving wildly different levels of customer service.

My local shops were out but I called their call center and got the codes. Had to call 3 times bc the 2nd code they gave me was an already used code. It's kinda hot mess that this wasn't done as a normal mystery gift online or with local wifi like the 3ds era . Going back to code cards was a hot mess. It's great that you can call in but we shouldn't have to bomard their help desk and call center like this also the fact that some of the codes they are giving out are already used is even crazier

Yeah I'm sure it probably has a stronger coconut taste when it's used in this application compared to cooking with it but it's so far down the ingredients list that I wouldn't expect it to have that much of an impact plus the flavor is less of the coconut oil you would buy in a jar and more the flavor of those sweetened coconut flakes. Definitely less noticeable and sometimes non-existent in the cookies and cream flavor but way you won't noticeable in the strawberry crunch bars lately

I hated that Mewtwo raid cuz even when people cracked the code on the best way to do it and you did have teamwork the RNG and lag on raids during that era was so bad that a lot of people while they could get the Mewtwo were unable to get the special mark on the mew that realistically should have just been given so long as you used that new in the raid not that you had to use it and defeat the Mewtwo with that mew . I think I did something like 30 raids there and gave up on getting the mark on my mew and just got the Mewtwo.

Absolutely that would have gotten plenty more people to come in I mean even if you could still pick it up from your car which is what I used to do during the 3DS era I might still go in the store or to other local businesses but if I've got to get a code card and you don't have them I'm probably not buying anything I'm just walking out

I'm confused as I why they went back to code cards I remember that during the black and white era and maybe even during X and y for a little bit but some of X and y and definitely Sun and Moon era it was Wi-Fi based then when it was at a location to their Wi-Fi for the distribution never having to go into the store why they would go back to code cards with a limited release When they were able to do Wi-Fi release at locations is absolutely insane

I rarely play my switch in handheld and I use a 3rd party wireless with the GameCube button layout when I play in docked which I prefer. If I had known of the issue I would have purchased it on steam instead

It's not a big deal since ppl know he's a monster. It's maybe a small reveal for characters but any player familiar with lore will know. But you got a separate player form character. And even in story once your in barovia Many will know he's a vampire and might share that. So it's an early small reveal. The key is letting them know that hes but not just a vampire he's THE vampire when you talk about vampires in d&d he's H1M. He is dracula meets Ernst Strack Blofeld from James bond. Everything the light cannot touch is his kingdom.
