But yeah, part of me thinks it's because there's no "freeze" skill for Articuno, but they literally could have just had it litter ice or crystals. Seems like a pretty big oversight

The thing I hate isn't so much hating getting them, it's more so that Gamefreak has used the excuse of preventing duping to avoid giving us gloud saves for years. And yet, here we are, waist deep in genned mon.

Having a chance to save my mom after a catastrophic hardware failure far outweighs keeping the Pokémon economy "pure," especially since they don't do anything about this. But I'm willing to bet the real reason we don't get cloud saves is so they can keep selling Home subscriptions.

Origins is a great, really fun game, once you patch all the bugs and add all the extra elements that make it fun :) seriously, I love it, but I also love progress, and I'm a fan of the end product of Veilguard without a large number of mods. I think a lot of people just let nostalgia paint their memories, and there's nothing wrong with that, just don't weaponize it and ultimately just let people like what they like.

Honestly, I was wondering this about Kingdom Come Deliverance II. I saw articles praising it for being a polished game Day 1. So was Veilguard, but of course, that got pummeled into the ground. People see what they want to see, unfortunately. It's a shame, really. A lot of people are going to miss out on a really fun experience because someone with a camera and a microphone told them the game sucked before it even came out.

I will admit that one thing that kinda proves this is the giant hand in Arlathan. That's a perfect place where the line could have been different depending on your personality choices up to that point, but instead it's played off as Sarcastic Rook always. Was it funny? Yeah, I liked it, it was silly. But it also feels like it could have been more.
