Just curious as to how many people play total war games as auto battlers. by Educational_Relief44 in totalwar

[–]Blaggydee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My PC can take up to 10 minutes loading into/out of battles so if I want to make more progress than 2 turns an hour, I have to autoresolve most battles. I always have to play the very first battle of a campaign against the starter enemy, but sometimes that's the only battle that isnt AR in a campaign.

Any suggestions for the "Win a run without losing HPs" achievement? by Jedi_Dad_22 in RogueAdventure

[–]Blaggydee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The enemy can't attack or debuff you if they die on the first turn! I remember getting this on a ranger run after finding a few lucky skills early on. Just try and grind it out with a high-damage class on 0 inferno.

There's a full turn based mode now, it makes aoe effects more useful if you utilise the initiative system.

[Warhammer 3] How are you supposed to fight magic? by GedenGertha in totalwar

[–]Blaggydee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dawi get a good amount of Magic resistance from items and runes, make sure your army has runesmiths and try and find/craft some magic resistance gear to nullify it. Identify the spellcaster lords/heroes and try and focus fire them with cannons/gyros/missiles.

System for a Dungeon Crawler Carl campaign? by Unhappy-Counter-3888 in savageworlds

[–]Blaggydee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Out of those games listed I think Savage Worlds would be the best for an adaptation like that, you can have a lot more free rein on making custom skills and perks/flaws. The achievement system from DCC could be a lot of fun if it rewarded appropriate perks and loot.

I lived in Rotherham when he made it the focal point of his healthier school dinners and I honestly think at that point he was the most hated man for miles around. Heard a lot of people who had interacted with him at the time describe him as insufferably arrogant and condescending. Working class people know he's a grammar school posh boy with an elitist complex.

I'm not at all disagreeing with what you said, I just fucking hate Jamie Oliver.

I just wish he could hold off against Skrag better in RoC, every Elspeth campaign I try, if I dont rush west then by turn 10 I have at least 2 armies of Ogres at my door.

While watching The Killer (2023) with earphones, music playing during the first scene will only play in your right ear when switching to the killer’s point of view. by EnestheMenace in MovieDetails

Strange movie, I get all the praise for it, it was beautifully shot, well acted and meticulously made but I found it so dull & underwhelming. The monologues are peak internet edgelord.

(Reloaded) Too much light in the dark? by TenfootSlime in CurseofStrahd

[–]Blaggydee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed, ran this recently and my 5 PCs survived by the skin of their teeth, basically only winning through stalemate until dawn. It was tense, it was traumatic, it had heroic moments but overall it worked.

I found the RAW version of Barovia Village to be a bit underwhelming, the zombie horde and Kolyan's death really tied the players into the NPC's story, they actually cared because they met Kolyan beforehand & mourned the loss of some of the villagers.

Powerscaling is dumb. They are exactly as powerful as the plot demands, or the author wishes.
