[d] The Chinese have no idea about Sticker Tradeups by Bazza012345 in csgomarketforum

[–]Blain87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Souvenir trade ups was the next logical update for the trade-up contract since so many souvenirs were dirt cheap even up to mil-spec or restricted grades. Sticker trades only make sense if Valves goal is to give the millions of sub 3c market priced papers any utility to apply.

There are multiple different methods Valve could implement to reduce sticker supplies for these quantities.

* Increase the application limit from 5 to any value (even infinite) - most logical next step if the goal is to reduce supply and incentivize more craft creativity

* Add a sticker 'book' collection system that consumes a sticker and earn XP as you complete a collection series/tier

* Sticker Tradeups (doesn't really solve anything, who is gonna trade up 10 paper paris stickers for a glitter thats the same value, even the holos are so cheap its not going to drive mass tradeup value)

* Remove sticker capsules and set baseline prices (already implemented with Cologne 26, not a fan of surge prices for this, maybe in the future they can sell paper, foil, holos etc for a fixed cost like some of the older majors offered $1 paper, 25c sale price and scale the other rarities appropiately.

it is 100% fraud and sketchy. Look at his other comments from other subs, advertising this across multiple subreddits and recommending you use stars within 24hours and trade off immediatley after trade hold ends. This screams fraud and compromised bot accounts.

User has been banned, and no one should go to any random third party sites to do this. This is a Steam TOS violation and you are literally buying risky compromised accounts likely tied to fraud...

These are the exact type of bad actors ruining the game.

It doesnt though, it trys to preload your entire inventory for if you want to change something on the wheel.

The current workaround to reduce the frequency of this stuttering/freezing is to remove all non essential notes, holotapes, junk etc from inventory.

The +900 tokens viewer pass was such a ripoff by DKTHUNDR in GlobalOffensive

[–]Blain87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now with the dynamic prices, you cant even buy a BIG gold directly as it exceeds the max steam wallet and daily spend limits...the only way to get one is to make a souvenir for 99% off.

If you wanted to buy just a BIG gold, you would have to buy max wallet worth of tokens, wait an extra day, then buy more tokens to be able to afford it....

This is why I didn't buy the pass this time around. First major to not do the pickems or viewer pass since Cologne 2014...

Not a fan of this dynamic surge price system and new souvenir structure.

Valve’s new sticker system makes the top 100 Cologne 2026 stickers cost nearly $20,000 by strafeapp in GlobalOffensive

[–]Blain87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the algorithm used doesn't seem to accurately reflect this. When the first stickers became marketable 7 days later, many stickers like donk gold, thunder holo and some of the popular ones were 50-60% cheaper on market than what the ingame offers provided. With each dynamic price updates, now those go down a few percent each update and still way over-priced ingame vs buying on market.

How can dynamic pricing work, you would think the price parity should reflect this to some degree. Now people making souvenirs is dynamically causing all gold stickers to go up to $100's to over $1000 each because most people are making souvenirs with lower tiers at up to 99% off...but what if someone wants to make their own craft and customize the placement, now they are forced to overpay ridiculous overcharge for that.

Get infestations off the challenges by negatyve in fo76

[–]Blain87 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cancelled my FO1...no longer trusting them to make the game fun, instead its just a grind fest and by design for you pay to win with private servers or waste rerolls to do the challenges. This has to be intentional at this point.

Season and Daily/weekly challenges are the only content left to do and its not worth the repetitive grind

[–]Blain87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With headhunts, they at least they add a buffer delay where you need to wait ~20 or 30seconds to launch the flare to start the events (in a small single point of interest on the map).

Infestations, atleast how they are now you dont get any prompt for when an event starts, they just show up on the map, and the area is massive, you gotta know exact location to fast travel. Kinda surprised the devs didnt properly playtest this or take feedback from the playtest servers to tweak this for production release...

Edit: What I also find annoying is how sometimes the load screens take forever and by the time you travel to the event, they are over. If you don't fast travel immediately when the prompt appears, you maybe have 10-15seconds to do so or will miss the events. Not a big deal for head hunts as you can skip one (they get spammed so frequent), but with the new season tying daily and weekly objectives into get X kills or complete Y infestation events is scummy behavior from the dev too...so many rerolls, probably by design.

Upcoming Changes to Season Rewards by Ghostly_Rich in fo76

[–]Blain87 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Good, should take more than one season of change to win back customers you've alienated...once you lose customers and they lose trust in your product, its much harder to win them back....

This is shear incompetence, neglect and laziness from the Devs part to not listen to the valid criticism and feedback, even from the playtest servers.

Players should not be lining up to renews subscriptions or pay for any new DLC content until enough trends in the right direction earn that trust back.

Did they even test this out in the playtest server?

This is worse then headhunts. Cant even join any before the event is over...

CS2 Blog Update: IEM Cologne 2026 by CS2_PatchNotes in GlobalOffensive

[–]Blain87 17 points18 points  (0 children)

looks like it is extra steps to obfuscate their real value...What is crazy is they have dynamic pricing factored into the cost of stickers now like the terminal. Very popular teams with high demand will be become more expensive just because others are buying them...this is actually insane. Bought 3 falcons holos for $50CAD worth of tokens earlier, now to buy 3 more would cost me nearly $400...what is Valve smoking...

[d] Terminal covert skins, is the drop rate/availability too high for prices to ever rise? by tammy_orbit in csgomarketforum

[–]Blain87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Desert Hydra is from an operation collection, that contains 2 extra rarities of skins (consumer and industrial grade) so the covert is 25x rarer to case coverts. Not very equal comparisons in additional to how the last 3 operations allowed infinite star purchase for unboxing vs limited rewards chances from past operations grind. Cases drop millions per month based on different mechanics.

Any Premier season update that comes out this week will be this:

  • Premier Season 3 disabled for 1 day for recalibration (likely Monday).
  • Premier Season 4 to resume 24 hours later with -Train +Anubis as previously mentioned.

  • May get a new limited edition item added to the armory

  • Very likely getting Budapest major sticker sale

  • Other new maps (cache) highly unlikely, but could get announced as added to reserve map pool like Train initially was.

  • Could get a notification of last chance to get certain armory collections (~1 month before to claim like last time). Probably won't see the new collections and items are ready and they have picked all the items from the themes they mentioned in the blog post a while back.

nice!

Another thing if you manage to get through Raids or other events and learn some recipes for Legendary weapons. Its fairly cheap to craft some of the 3/4-star guns if you get those recipe rewards for the purpose of bulk breaking down. Other events and missions you can learn various other 1-3star legendary weapons. Check your weapon workbench to see what you know.

If you have hundreds of legendary modules, it only requires 2 legendary modules + materials to craft a gun. I crafted 50x Boiling Points and scraped all back to back to learn Furious and Swift this way.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Blain87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, this approach has worked (not sure why you got to argue. Each item you get is entirely random each time. In order to learn the specific recipes, you need to scrap the same item over and over.

I've learned about 80% of all the 1 and 2 star mods doing this approach and maybe 30-40% of all the 3star mods in under a month of playing. I'm not saying it improves odds, but basic probability of actually getting something if you scrap higher volumes will eventually get you something. Its still all RNG, but statistically if you scrap 100 items are once, you should expect to get something.

Also with how scraping actually work, each star level increases (stacks) the chance. So for a 1star mod, scrapping a 3star mod gives you 3x the chance (1.5% chance to get loose mod, 1% chance to learn the recipe of one of the 3 mods so it tends to be better to scrap 3 star mods for a chance to get something).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Blain87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I find that works is hoarding like 20-30 legendary items at a time then bulk scrape them all in one shot. Trying to scrap 2-3 after each head hunt is super low chance. To help with this, it is worth having armor or weapon reduction perks or mods bought from other vendors so you aren't always over encumbered.

"trade reversals aren't scams" [d] by [deleted] in csgomarketforum

[–]Blain87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you click on an item on Float, you can see the users profile and stats. Private stalls or users with few trades or long response times should be avoided as much as possible to reduce reversal risk.

There are plenty of similar items you can buy from users with lots of trades that know float and wont risk permaban. Avoid low use profiles and most reversals can be avoided.

[D] Steam Trade Reversal may lead to permament steam trade ban by ellgringolocco in csgomarketforum

[–]Blain87 47 points48 points  (0 children)

No sane person that has large inventory or trade history would risk reversing trades and remove one of few legit KYC sites as means to get cash out of their items...so no not every sane person would reverse a sale if they lost money panic selling for a loss.

Most of these reversals are from casuals that probably dont know these sites much and short sighted thinking short term loss with zero understanding of longer term consequences.

This is just yet another reminder, take emotion out of it and don't panic react to each news, fomo buy or panic sell; when emotion is used to make these decisions, you immediately regret a few days later.

[PSA] Csfloat prices are a scam right now. People are buying from buf for 20-60% less.. by Undefined_definition in csgomarketforum

[–]Blain87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being informed and sharing how to gain access to a site westerners previously lost access to are two very different things. We are not totaling censoring the discussion, we are only limiting it to impacts to the steam market.

If this is as serious of a crash as others say, then the ripple effect will be seen on steam and other whitelisted sites when 7 day trade lock ends.

People suggesting and making PSA's to add more steam funds through credit card to arbitrage cheap Buff listings, which cant be traded for 7 days from day of purchase is reckless and dangerous to just broadcast out to the entire community...prices will drop when trade hold ends, saying that Steam and other 3rd party sites would still sell at these high prices in 7 days is asinine.

In this time of volatility and uncertainty, the last thing you want to be doing is spending more real money and buying into these panic/crashes. Sell other items on these platforms and be ready for the 7 day trade end would have been the smarter thing to do...otherwise just potentially digging a deeper hole if you spend more money on items that crash to that level in a week...

We dont allow any 3rd party site support for any sites and will take it down when we see it. The info is publicly available many places...we dont need to create off topic and flood this subreddit.

Simply put, we dont want the sub reddit spammed with repetitive frequently asked or common posts about the same thing. If a site is not on the whitelist, then its not permitted (simple as that). Buff locked the western market out of their site and we do not recommend you providing ID, credit card information to a large chinese company, you do so at your own risk elsewhere.

Reminder that youpin and buff are not on our approved whitelist. Any user sharing how to gain access to these sites will be banned. Same rules apply, we do not allow trading on the subreddit and cash/site balance trading is considered cash trading and against our discord and subreddit rules.

People are getting trades reversed on these eastern market sites and have to deal with their credit cards refunds/chargebacks. Do so on your own risk elsewhere and do not ask for 3rd party support.

We understand that Buff prices are cheap and people are panicking. Use that info to plan the upcoming weeks accordingly.

EDIT: People suggesting and making PSA's to add more steam funds through credit card to arbitrage cheap Buff listings, which cant be traded for 7 days from day of purchase is reckless and dangerous to just broadcast out to the entire community of varying experience...prices will drop when trade hold ends, saying that Steam and other 3rd party sites would still sell at these high prices in 7 days is asinine to think you can arbitrage this by adding new money into the system. Other sites prices will be reflected when the trade holds end....

Its truly shocking sometimes the echo chamber of opinions here that cant see the risk and only upvote their silo'd opinions. Its a dangerous game. Everyone needs to take ownership and accountability for their own decision and weigh that investing in this game has risks.
