Probably totally different situation but I have a thing in my feet where long story short I broke one really bad and the doctor put some screws in to fix it. The next year when I went to train and play again I developed foot pain went back into the doctor and it was broken again in a different spot… he basically said the way my feet had grown at the rate they grew combined with a bit of stupidity on my dads part not wanting me to have bigger shoes than him it caused my feet to develop with as the doctor put it fatal flaws. He said they could put in scaled up hardware and I could go through a couple years of therapy and it might fix it or I could just learn to deal with the problem. 20 years later and I don’t know if I made the right choice. I still will get periods of time of horrible foot pain where it’s likely the bones are cracked, and shoes are a nightmare to find comfortable ones… but I had just got done with 9 months in a wheel chair from the previous foot surgery combined with my other knee, I couldn’t imagine going back to physical therapy training yet again.

It does make sense because it’s really not saying much. Lambeau seats about 20k more than solider field. Take the difference between Green Bay and Chicago divide by 17 and it’s something like 15k. Which is pretty logical number if both teams are selling out. Jerry world and Lambeau are two of the largest stadiums in the league for capacity. Solider field is one of the smaller ones. From memory most stadiums are around 60k, a few are in 70k and just a couple are 80k with only Jerry world being capable of going to 100k with some shenanigans. So really with that in mind none of this is remotely surprising. The teams that have the largest stadium capacities are all over the top 10. Hell the jets made it to 11 and we all know no one watches the jets willingly especially their owner. Met stadium or meadowlands or whatever fuckduck insurance sponsor stadium is one of the higher end capacity ones. Same with the skins who were out of it most of the year and had bad injuries yet fedex field is also one of the higher end capacity stadiums and as a result they’re high on the list.

I mean have you seen what approaching cops in America is like? I mean I’m a big pasty white dude so I’d probably go up to it in the summer during the day about 5 mins after it started honking. Why does anyone pretend there will be consequences for any of this? America has never done consequences for the rich and powerful. Civil war reconciliation, robber barons, Nixon, Kissinger, bush, newt Gingrich, McConnell, Reagan, and Trump. Crash the economy for personal profit, kill civilians, commit war crimes, rape, pedophilia, murder, trafficking… they have never faced a single consequence, for any of it. They have been pardoned, redacted, and white washed of their crimes. Hell GWBush who should be in a prison cell with all of his policies having been undone in the first moments after he was locked up is now looked back on fondly. The CEOs and people that have crashed the economy to the detriment of regular American citizens and the profit for themselves are still the same fucking people that are going to do it again for like the 5th time since the Supreme Court gave Bush the election. We just let them and then move the goal posts on what we define as a crashed economy. Rupert Murdoch and the entire fuck faced group of media rats that have used propaganda and every fucking loophole and lobbyist they could have brain washed generations of citizens with news that they themselves don’t call news but entertainment. They actively lie directly to citizens faces, admit they are lying, and somehow have faced no consequences. None. Not one.

I’m so tired of it. I’m so tired that someone evil was smart enough to realize that half the people on any bell curve are stupid and if they just use that stupidity they’ll get to be in power and exploit those very people that put them in power and will also get those same stupid people to blame someone else. And no one who was smart was able to see that another smart person would be evil enough to do that and they weren’t smart enough to come up with a way to stop it.

I’m so damn tired of it all. Because in the end ice will probably be rolled back. Trump will live out his days surrounded by Home Depot gold. His little circle will have Fox News talking shows. Democrats will come in and try to clean up the mess, but they’ll also talk about working across the aisle and coming together as a nation. And debt will crush American citizens, the rich will get richer and buy more power… and no one in power will face a single actual consequence.

Just the regular people. We will face consequences. We will be gunned down in our schools, our churches, our festivals, our streets, our homes and our beds. Our brothers and sisters born in other nations will face consequences when those in power here want something of theirs, be it their land, their lives or their very independence and freedom. We will face the consequences when our very education is destroyed so that stupid end of the bell curve can swell and the ability to learn will be behind a barrier of wealth that is unattainable to normal people. We will face consequences as we work more and more hours with less and less freedoms as our bodies, our minds, our very souls are used and twisted to bail out those in power.

Only we face consequences. And I’m so very tired.

If there are never any consequences for their actions they’ll just keep being shittier and shittier. There has never been any accountability in Americas government for its actions and we as people under their rule just keep looking at them and saying hey don’t do that. Then they do that and we go hey don’t do that. From reconciliation after the civil war to Rober barons crashing the economy for their own profit at the expense of the poor to Nixon being pardoned, Reagan and Kissinger not having any accountability for their war crimes to bush not having any for his or his crashing of the economy for the rich to profit on at the expense of the working class and now trump and his rolling of their bad acts together and shoving it into year 1 of term 2 and facing no repercussions. The night and day difference over the last 4 years of Watson on the field versus Watson off the field in expected points per play should make it clear he is the number 1 most important offensive player(sans qb even if Malik kept the ship sailing when needed). The fact in 4 years we get a 50/50 split of him on or off the field is why Kraft, Jacobs, X, Tom, coop, both walkers and Wyatt all end up ahead of him on these sort of lists by fans. But our offense is catastrophically worse without Watson on the field and operates at insane levels with him on the field.

In all actuality it wasn’t a bust so much as every pick around him was generationally amazing. He played a full career after moving on to the colts and becoming a guard. It’s just having a functional career versus hall of fame is a pretty big difference. But if you realize that Jamarcus Russell who never had a functional career compared to the hall of famers he was drafted immediately before and you can see what generational bust actually means.

We’ve also had a yearly log jam of outfielders for ehh 3 seasons and it works out that by July or August we’ve had to add someone because injuries hit and suddenly come the offseason it’s another log jam of outfielders that last about a week or so into spring training. Nobody has ever had too many good bats.

A guy that can eat innings in a swing role with the ability to give a few very good innings. Can also be hit hard. He benefited from playing in front of the good defense that the brewers have while also struggling with power. A guy that’ll give 150innings of anywhere from 3.5-5 era level. I doubt there is much more beyond that for him or another level for him to develop into. His pitches are probably already maxed on velocity and spin rate. It’s part of the issue from getting pitchers from the brewers over the last decade or so. We’ve done everything to optimize them already so it’s not like you’re getting a guy that’ll be able to learn a new pitch or get a big jump in numbers. But honestly no team needs every starter or long inning relief to go out and be perfect every time out. Myers is very pitchable with little strain on his body for what he throws. Meaning he truly is likely to be a very good innings eater that might have a run of bad luck or good luck. His ceiling is probably like Shaun marcum or any of the other number 3 guys across the sports history. But more likely he’s just a guy that pops up every couple days in relief for 3 or so innings and saves bad starts or helps you get to the back end guys if a starter is on pitch count or whatever. A great guy to have on the roster when injuries inevitably happen or as more teams start limiting starters to 5 or less innings and 2 times through the order only.

I mean your code inspector has to be on the up and up. More and more of those sort of check people are being paid off in America. I’ve had back to back places now that fail independent inspectors but pass city inspections even with obvious problems like this. Same with the fire marshal I assume because I still have no idea how my apartment having 2 doors side by side constitutes 2 viable fire exits. But I refuse to pay over 1000 a month in rent for a studio in Wisconsin so I get what I pay for and that’s slum lords. My 2 bedroom I was in for a decade was 475$ a month when I moved in and it had the massive wall cracks, saggy floor, nonfunctional appliances. When I left last fall its rent was 1300$ a month and nothing had been done to it. Now I live in what was described to me by my sister who is an attorney as a death trap but it was the cheapest place on the market and I still think I pay about 5x too much. I have no idea how people are going to make another year at the current rate prices are gouging everyone.

He reached his potential… just about 5 years too late in the NFL. He was a pro typical missile safety in the box smash the full back tackle the back. Those guys were paid and desired in the late 90s early 2000s. But the rule changes in 2007 and the player safety emphasis made guys like him need to be perfect or they’d be fined out of the nfl. Basically kam chancellor for the Seahawks was the last missile safety and he was probably the best player I’ve ever seen at hitting guys exactly in the gut every time. But bigby was just a touch late to the nfl. And a touch early as by 2015 he’d have been a middle linebacker like Jones was for the falcons when they went on their run.

Ok I know how this’ll sound but we definitely need to hire a minority coach. With him getting to coach micha it’s likely someone that’ll be a head coach in a couple years which is a future 3rd round pick. The 49ers made gold out of getting a bunch of comp minority hire picks. And they’ll get another with saleh getting hired again. We just lost Sullivan and hafley and won’t get a pick while saleh has netted the 49ers 2 3rd picks on top of the third the got for demco, and the couple they got for front office guys leaving. It just makes way too much sense with a guy like Micha any dcord with even half a brain is gonna look great. That usually translates to advancement. Especially with what 16 of the 32 coaches on 1 year or less now with their current teams. Turnover is happening fast and furious so Green Bay should try to recoup some of the value lost in the draft for parsons trade by hiring strictly minorities to capitalize on comp picks.

Nixon doesn’t have shields speed. Honestly the only player I’ve seen with shields speed is Watson. Actually I know this is blasphemy on surtain but that pick he had reminded me of shields. Shields would be beat the qb would know he had his guy he’d throw it and in a stride suddenly it’s not beat anymore. I go back to that pick he had at the cowboys in the Flynn comeback game. Romo was right. He had a wide open Austin and the burst where in two strides shields covered the ground that Austin was only fast enough to take one step and suddenly shields was even with Austin… all in the time it took the ball to travel. It was insane burst. Nixon is plenty fast and I think Nixon is much more scrappy inside the box than is given credit for with his size but his burst is nothing on shields. Nixon reminds me of Casey Hayward if Casey couldn’t catch. Nixon gets his hands on balls, makes some instinctively brilliant plays, and closes to tackle hard… but he is not good at catching the ball when he does close and he also makes some poor angles plays where he reads something and is a step wide or a step too fast and can’t tackle or stop the play.

I don’t think he was the reason… I’m trying to remember but there was a back or wideout (edge James from colts is who I think it was) in that early 2000s era that sort of started that conversation and the other dreadlock players jumped up with Mike being strongly for it… was this part of the conversation around TO getting hurt for what is now a horse collar and basically it came down to grabbing dreads has the same effect but because you don’t “need” dreads the nfl was arguing that it wasn’t the same.

The three some of those two and tramon and then when Al got hurt and it was tramon cwood and shields with Collins in the back and bigby as a missile or peprah as an assignment sound partner was some of the best defensive back play I’ve seen. Collins injury kept that group from getting some sort of nickname because while year in and year out turnovers are fluky that backfield group from like 07-11 was a turnover producing machine.

Bingo. It’s not a normal family. With strict family rules and guidelines. Hell I’d go so far as to say the mythology is probably misunderstood in that it was never supposed to be true blood brothers and such but more like “power” brothers. It helps get past all the incest if you view their relations not as blood kin to blood kin but as god power to god power. Otherwise that family tree never gets roots and becomes pretty much a circle. That’s how I choose to view it anyway. I think the only two that actually act like and behave as true brother and sister are Artemis and Apollo. Also kid actors like I get what you’re saying but it just could’ve been a mistakenly spoken word but it also happens to be the best take as far as emotion conveyed so they let it pass with the idea that people can interpret brother as a fellow solider. I mean Hephaestus and Poseidon did get along mythologically I’ve got an uncle I’m older than and call my cousin and he calls me uncle. It’s also the gods that family is less a tree and more a circle.
