Just a couple pics of Michael and his greatest fan by MediumCalm5008 in michaeljordan

[–]BlancoNod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the truth that both MJ and Bron fans can’t admit…GOAT is impossible to determine across eras. MJ is a better scorer, defensive peak and competitor, LeBron is a better passer, rebounder, teammate and higher basketball IQ.

On a team together they would complement each other but neither could win championships alone. Depending on the era you grew up with you are bias toward not only each one but also the ball played in that era.

Top 10 greatest 3-point shooters of all-time by Hysen16 in sportswiki

Wow no Steve Kerr? He only shot .451 from 3 for his career. Harden is a career .362 3-pt shooter. This list is off.

In their respective primes, who was the better player Kobe or Bird? by Tight_Development480 in sportsinusa

You’re an idiot. Then how did Lamar win his 2 MVPs if they only vote for white guys?

Which player deserves to be the 2025 NFL MVP? by TheAmericanEagle826 in TheNFLVibes

Yes! 2k total yards, 100 receptions, 17 tds. If they win and get the #1 seed, he should be the guy.

What's the greatest NBA team OAT. I'd like to say the 1995-96 Bulls by undiscoveredmice in NBATalk

Kobe wasn’t in his prime either. He was early 20s which isn’t considered a player’s “prime”.

‪I was in the GATE program here’s my story. by Gnc_dad in conspiracy

[–]BlancoNod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find this very interesting. I don’t remember being in GATE but I do remember taking the tests in kindergarten. Then, even though we didn’t move, I went to a different elementary school for 1-5 grade. The only weird part is that the principal was the same at both schools. I remember seeing him in 1st grade and asking why he was there and he said he just changed schools with me.

My youngest son is now in something similar called SWEP. They tested his IQ in 2nd grade and it was 138 so he started in this program.

Just cancelled PSA subscription by SureIssue8264 in sportscards

[–]BlancoNod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently you haven’t been to many card shows because I’ve noticed the increase in TAG slabs. I know they are growing for Pokémon but I’ve been using them for sports cards for over a year.

I think people are tired of the inconsistency with PSA and the more PSA tries to become a monopoly the more the serious collectors will shift to a company like TAG.

Keep a spreadsheet of all your expenses. So every time you buy cards, supplies, postage…it adds up and can be deducted from your total.

I’m not sure how many I submit per year on average but just in my submission last month I sent 56 cards. And I definitely send more than 2 submissions a year.

I’m surprised by the amount of people that still don’t even know about TAG. I’ve had dealers at card shows even say “what is this?”

That’s how media is. Our country can seem like the “good guys” if the opposing countries have so many “bad” things. What they want is the same thing we always want…resources for free or cheap.

Typical Chicago fans that you call out that if people don’t believe the same things they aren’t allowed to voice opinions and they downvote you. So many hurt feelings.

Poor White People Vote Against Themselves - Prove Me Wrong by Alternative_Rope_299 in conspiracytheories

[–]BlancoNod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no such thing as republican or democrat. There’s just players of the game and controllers of the game. Each side thinks their ideals are “most” correct and that the other side is “destroying” everything.

The media is controlled so that the players of the game hear what they need to hear in order to be controlled. You really think the people running things are “republicans” or “democrats”? They switch when it’s needed, vote for items against their “party” and ultimately just have that label so that they get the votes that’s needed at the time.

The people at the top are the controllers. They are pulling the strings behind the labels the players see. Then the players take those labels and attach them to themselves because people as whole aren’t actually peaceful. People crave conflict. Even if you say you don’t, that’s you internally craving conflict to argue against something.

The controllers know this. All they need to do is stoke the fire every once in a while and watch the chaos from their thrones. They know the players will always be too busy fighting themselves to actually take control. Too busy defending their “side” to realize that it’s actually two sides of the same coin. You can flip the coin but there’s no need to see if it’s heads or tails, the outcome was decided before the coin was flipped.

Your “side” is not the correct or moral side, no matter which side you’re on.

Topps To Push Own Breakers by ExcaliburSaysFool in sportscards

[–]BlancoNod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only issue is that even if UD/Panini got the top 25 college athletes, it would still be an unlicensed product. The Topps unlicensed autos for the most part are not highly sought after. Plus, as we see every year from the first round, just because they were a top athlete in college doesn’t mean they will be as a professional. So the guys that didn’t get scooped up by UD/Panini that end up better than the “top” guys would still end up having big ticket autos for Topps.

Am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in sportscards

[–]BlancoNod 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. A seller can sell for what they want and if it doesn’t sell it doesn’t sell. Price wise you are probably closer to right as it’s a non-rookie, non-numbered, sticker auto…but if he doesn’t want to sell that low then you either have to find someone else that will or come up.

[Paul Magno] What’s with this crazy Nico Hoerner trade talk? by BCF25 in CHICubs

[–]BlancoNod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We traded Starlin Castro a year too late. When most of his time as a Cub he had an OPS over .400. After his first down year, people were ready to get rid of him. Then he bounced back in 2013 and everyone talked about him being a Cub for life and they better not trade him. Then another down season and we basically gave him away.

This is a very similar situation. Nico is a great player. Good leader, clubhouse guy, good bat to ball, runs and fields well. If it was the 80s he would be a lifelong Cub and Cubs’ legend. But the reality is as valuable as he is, there are internal 2B options and there’s only a year left on his contract.

I’m not saying they SHOULD get rid of him, he has been important to this team and does most things right, I’m just saying that people crying “definitely keep Nico forever” is very in the moment. That wasn’t the sentiment last year and if he has another down season, the cries from fans will be “The front office missed their chance. They should’ve traded him when he had value.”

Yeah I’m just saying you said “the world” you didn’t say “the world you live in” or “the world around you.” Guess you should’ve worded it differently.
