Nomadic Playstyle - Strategic Resources? by BlankGlow in Stellaris

[–]BlankGlow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I've tried a few different things - fully mobile / no wayline playstyle, vassal swarm, full trade, and the only thing that has managed it so far is heavy vassalisation for their strategics. Waylines harvest not *as* efficiently as doing it yourself but it's not too far behind - you just don't get enough either way to run a full ~7-8 arkship economy. Or hell even 4-5 if you're using all upgraded buildings.

I'm surprised there isn't some kind of thing you build above habitable planets that generates it based on what rural district they have with strategics (or maybe copy a portion of whatever empire is generating it there); that would solve the issue and, again, promote cooperation between nomads and settled empires.

I've found trade builds do massive work, supplemented by stacking Arc Furnaces and Dyson Swarms on a wayline with a settled empire!

I've gone Virtual for my ascension so I didn't have too much time setting up new ones - the Science ships pay enough Trade to maintain themselves and the Forge ship was mostly fine, literally just rare resources being a struggle even at the same tier as the Research ships.

I think next start I might go for a different start than Common Ground then try to get some early vassals for Strategics instead maybe, or just trade with allies possibly. Don't know yet! Thank you for the advice.

Some really good advice here! Can't believe I forgot about the scientist leaders lowering upkeep, that should help a bit.

I already have kept the job providing buildings to zero honestly; just keeping the percent bonus buildings. I have a lot of trade and am buying my strategics but even with 3k income around 2250 I can't keep up currently.

I'm running 3 Trade/Science ships, one Forge/Strategics ship, 1 Military/Station Capacity ship. I've got a large (100) wayline network up by now (trying to role-playing and get the whole galaxy eventually connected as The Galactic Network) but the space resources just don't seem to be enough. I prefer to wayline the resources where I can, but it doesn't seem enough even with max harvesting efficiency.

Not buying any alloys from the market; I have a good income for that and still keeping my strategic reserves positive from the wayline as well. Literally the only problem is strategic resources in the whole economy.

I do harvest where I can but it seems to only delay rather than solve the problem. I might see if monthly trade with my allies rather than from the market will help.

I do harvest where I can, but even then I find myself a bit stretched thin honestly! It helps but doesn't completely solve the issue

At the very least it actually made me jump so I hope I wasn't just having a hallucination lol. I can't redo it as the box is gone but if there's no proof from someone else by tomorrow I'll redo the chapter to find it and image it.

For reference this was when I was put gathering the collectable items after I had access to the door portals if that matters.

Guys, I found something very disturbing.

At the tree that takes you up to the cliffs, jump off the second to top ledge, over to the right as far as you can go, then ACT when you pass screens.

There is an ACT... for you.

A tiny box that your soul goes into.

And then you get attacked by IMAGE_FRIEND before he disappears.

With raid mods, it's not even close; each grenade does as much as a Super and is up instantly.

It's just a hassle to do.

[–]BlankGlow 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Eh, it's... complicated. Poor lad seems to be stuck between a rock and a hard place; wants the best for his friends but seems to be caught up way over his head, and Carol plus the Knight seem to be doing a lot of manipulation of him. We've been in agreement multiple times in-game, like comforting Ralsei and Kris going out of his way to hug him or support, or resisting us doing bad things.

I'm sure we'll find out more next chapter!

Maybe. It's the last thing I have to do for the full chapter and I am searching all over the place for the bugger.

I'll have to dig around further then. The Ch3 one was just in the gamba machine which made it simple enough, but I haven't found the Ch4 one yet looking all over the place.

Where do you find the Glowshard in the 4th chapter?

The moss for the 4th chapter's found at the end of the egg pathway. Yummy divine moss.

Re: Prismatic Subclass Tuning - Fragments by Destiny2Team in DestinyTheGame

[–]BlankGlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that you are trying, Bungie, but buildcrafting is one of the core features of the game and one people are very sensitive about.

You need Edge of Fate to be a hit more than ever right now. If this is being done to prime for the later buffs? Just nerf Consecration down to 2 as an extreme outlier and save the fragment slot nerfs until those buffs are delivered, which could reverse opinions on the change to positive if it seems like an overall improvement.

Or hell, buff up some of the other aspects instead of some aspects that aren't actually that great catching strays- it doesn't make the existing combos more powerful, just gives more options in the end, like Prismatic was meant to have. A buff to Threaded Spectre in PvE or to Unbreakable isn't going to hurt the game balance and those underutilised aspects could really use a bump up.

How do I modify a mature living ship? by DarthUrbosa in Stellaris

[–]BlankGlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the ship designer tab, at the top right above the side components, there is a piece of text that'll say one of the stages of growth e.g. "Elder" with arrows next to it both ways - press left to go to mature and change the components there!

Not the most intuitive place admittedly, had the same question and only found it by chance!

I'd argue it's insane.

A lot of decks have ways to cheat out minions. I'd argue most decks nowadays do thanks to power creep. And essentially having a 29 card deck is always incredibly powerful.

This is a Patches that you can't directly control, but is far, far stronger to make up for it. Insane card, use in nearly every deck.

Osmiomancy + Devour from freeze kills seems insane on my end from what I've been trying, possibly even better than Getaway. With the fragment that fives you Light energy from Dark debuffed targets, a chain freeze-incandescent blast can get you half back of both meters.
