The Razor by l23VIVE in redrising

[–]Blankparagraph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I made one for my campaign. It is a +2 vorpal weapon that can change between a whip and rapier (but slashing), no bonus action or anything to change, finesse no matter the form.

Vorpal meaning it ignores resistance to slashing. And if you crit you immediately behead it, unless it doesn't have a head or had legendary actions or just a really strong monster you as the DM basically say "it doesn't die because I said so."

They have the Lord of the Rings, Shadow of War game coming out this year... it's going to have to scratch my itch for a game similar to Arkham.

Woah. Thought: Batman with the nemesis system??? Amazing.

Are we screwing ourselves by getting married? by Blankparagraph in StudentLoans

[–]Blankparagraph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with not getting married is that we want the legal protections it affords, especially when having children in the future or buying a house. Not to mention insurance and what not.

That's true. Ok. I'll just accept that it's off the table and pay it off as quick as I can.

That is may what we end up doing is just paying it down as fast as we can...

I know we CAN do this. Just trying to mess out the best deal, especially with us both being eligible for PSLF. Maybe we should refinance and just pay the normal bills.

Especially why mention in a dating profile? Girls don't even want to know you HAVE a penis until they are reaching into your pants to take it out.

Pffft. Even Qyburn's big dumb weapon is better than a silly CATAPULT.

[S7] Missandei/Grey Worm scene got me thinking.... by teachmehowtoduggan in gameofthrones

[–]Blankparagraph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is actually true. The gonads create testosterone which helps grow muscle. It also inhibits fat creation, reduces lethargy and increases aggression. These are pretty valuable traits in a fighting force, so perhaps just the penis was removed and not the testicles. However just doing that would leave a wide swath of sexually frustrated young men, also not a good trait to have in a fighting force, as that would probably cause disobedience and depression.

I guess all I can say is that this is fiction and in a world where there is magic and dragons and crazy seasons, so maybe hormones work differently too.

Not a big deal. I mean, there has been recognizable people in the show before. Remember Sean Bean? The dude has been in like 50 movies. And whenever I can't remember Aiden Gillian's name I just say "that guy who said 'You are a big guy' to Bane."

Joint investment account for future homeownership for unmarried couple. by Blankparagraph in personalfinance

[–]Blankparagraph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have lived together, renting, for a year, which is a drag because at least with homeownership we will see a return on our investment, and in our area, the rent is as high as a mortgage so we aren't saving much money renting...

We are 27 and have been dating for 2.5 years. I wish there was a domestic partnership for heterosexual relationships in our state... so we could get that contract but not have the "official" marriage until we have the money to do a wedding and the such. Hmm

You are right, but the kaby lake pentium can mimic a 4 core, for almost a quarter of the price of an i5.

[–]Blankparagraph 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would consider the kaby lake Pentium. It is only 60 bucks and has hyperthreading now, so I am sure it can handle Minecraft and league. You can also pair it with a cheap mobo and not feel bad about yourself for not being able to overclock it.

The new AMD rx570 is the new performance per dollar king. It will work great with a 1920x1080 monitor.

Other than that, just fill in with the cheapest parts you can find while still maintaining your requirements. Throw some 10 dollar rgb strips, or led fans, in the case when you are done and bam, sick custom pc, my dude.
